Chapitre 6: Back to the Guild

Alec looked around himself and sighed. He was surrounded by numerous killer ants. They were everywhere, even on the wall.

Alec committed the mistake of not properly killing one of them, and while he was occupied slaying the other monsters in the room, the mortally wounded killer ant let out a high-pitched sound. It was a call of distress that summoned more of its kind. It was something that he overlooked, and now he had to deal with the situation, not that he was overly worried, but other Level One might get killed he they found themselves in the same situation. Luckily he had the means to protect himself.

Suddenly, the room was filled with the sound of crackling electricity.

Alec's body was covered in purled lightning, as well as his Kusanagi.

He moved and in an instant was in front of one killer ant. He pierced its skull before cutting down another. He started to slash left and right without pause. It was so fast that the monsters didn't even have time to react. To them and every other Level One, Alec would appear as a purple flash. It went without saying that those monsters didn't even stand a chance. He made quick work by killing them in under two minutes. He could have been faster, but it seemed that there was an infinite supply of them. At one point, they even started to appear from the wall of the Dungeon.

'Not bad' Alec noticed how the lighting increased his speed, reaction time, and attacking power, and he wasn't even using the Raigake technique.

Since he didn't need to stop and collect his loot, he decided to move on. He was in the last room before the next floor. He stepped out of there, and sure, after a small walk he found the stairs that led to the eighth Floor and Alec decided to ponder his options.

He wasn't overly tired even if he had been fighting all day and felt like he could go on without problems. On the other hand, it was already past 6 p.m. and he should be making his way back. He knew that the Guild didn't close until 10 p.m. but he promised Hestia to take her out to eat. He spent the past four hours spamming as many jutsu as he could, using his sword and hand to hand combat.

In honesty, it has been a good day, but Alec wanted to do something else before heading back. On the Seventh Floor, there was a specific room where the monsters went to eat: the Pantry. Thanks to his Byakugan he was able to easily find its location, and in Alec's eyes, the room was like a treasure trove, filled with monsters ready to turn into money, materials, and excelia.

With a smile on his face, he turned around. The pantry was on the complete end from where he was, but Alec wasn't upset. It meant more monsters to fight, but he didn't want to waste time, so he summed the purple lighting once again and started to run.

As he run, he cut every monster he encounter and they were dead before even noting that something was amiss. As he passed, he encountered some adventurers, but he didn't care as he was too fast for them to realize who he was, and even if they get the chance to see his face, Alec did care as he didn't plan to hide. He will rise to the peak one way or another.

When he was about to reach his destination, he stopped and deactivate his purple lighting. He moved closer to the wall and started to walk on it until he was walking upside down on the ceiling. He covered the rest of the distance at a moderate pace. While walking he noticed a large number of monsters were peacefully and ordinately walking together in the same direction. Alec knew that they were making their way to the pantry, so he didn't act. He didn't want to alarm the other monsters ahead.

After ten minutes of walking, he reached his destination.

At the center of a gigantic room, there was a huge quartz pillar that secreted a substance that the monsters were currently eating. Alec had never seen so many monsters gather in one place, but it was his first day and he knew that lower Floors have an even bigger gathering of monsters. Nonetheless, it was both a scary and magnificent sight, especially if one considered that there were more rooms like this.

He stealthily made his way over the pillar, still on the ceiling. The monsters were too busy eating to notice him and Alec didn't waste any time and quickly started to weave hand signs. As soon as he was done, three stone dragons emerged from under the monsters' bodies. The stone dragons charged and killed everything in their path, efficiently clearing the area around the quartz pillar.

The monsters were enraged, they'd been attacked while they were about to eat. They all started to assault the stone dragon, who quickly crumbled under the relentless attack from hundreds of raging monsters.

Alec used that time to jump from the ceiling and landing in front of the pillar with his hands clapped together, his fingers weren't intertwined, but were touching each other like he was praying.

'Water Shockwave.'

Drops of water started to gather and start to spin around him in a circular motion. It only took a few seconds for Alec to be surrounded by a high pillar of water. The water formed a massive vortex around him. The pillar's top suddenly exploded and erupted in the form of a wave, colliding with the monsters and flooding the room, but Alec wasn't done.

He quickly weaved more signs and slammed his hands on the water.

'Water Shark Bullets.'

From the water, sharks made of the same substance started to leap and attack. Alec looked in fascination as the water sharks maimed his enemies. They sunk their teeth into the monsters' flash, leaving behind trails of blood. The assault continued for a few minutes until all the monsters present were killed and the water turned crimson from their blood.

With a thought from Alec, the water evaporated, leaving behind scarlet spots.

'I know I shouldn't praise myself too much, but damn if I'm good' Alec was in awe of his own power. At that moment he felt like he could take on the world, but he knew that it was just the adrenaline talking. He wouldn't be able to even take the city, let alone the world.

Alec exited the room without a further glance. He was done for the day, so he started climbing to the surface. On his way up he encountered some other monsters who were quickly slain with no effort at all.

When he finally reached the surface, the sky was colored with a beautiful orange shade. Alec was eager to head to the Guild but after a day of constant fighting in the Dungeon, he smelled. He knew that some men wouldn't be bothered by it and some were even into it, but Alec didn't feel like risking it. Furthermore, his cloak was stained with blood and it wouldn't do to move around the city like that.

So, he took the elevator and headed up into Babel tower. The first three floors were reserved for the adventurers. There was not only an infirmary but locker rooms with showers. After he exited the elevator he walk a bit before finding a room that was labeled 'Men Locker Room.'

As he stepped in he was assaulted by the typical smell of sweat, dirty socks, and unwashed jockstraps. It brought back some fond memories, Alec knew how to cheer up his teammates after a loss or reward them for a victory. Every excuse was good to have some fun, they were horny hormonal teenagers after all, and Alec was more than willing to explore his sexuality and his more kinky side. Alec was already hard, and at that moment he lamented his loneliness, he missed his awesome friends and teammates.

Alec sighed before going further into the room. There were only a few other people there, and for how horny he was, he was quite uninterested, but a quick glance confirmed that there were jockstraps even in this world and he smiled.

He knew he had a fetish for them, and he wasn't the only one on his team. He didn't find it scandalous nor strange. To everyone its own.

Alec reach an isolated stop and used the system function to undress. He was naked save for his underwear. He found out that he could put together some of his clothes, armors, and weapons to form outfits. Once that was done, they would appear in the 'Outfit' section of the system and he could equip and unequip them. It was like the re-equip magic that Erza Scarlet used, it was instantaneous, so he would even be able to switch gear mid-battle.

He took off his underwear and made his way to the showers, uncaring for his status of undress. Along the way, he took one of the clean towels that the tower provided. There were singular cubicles but were big enough to comfortably fit three people. Alec found it a bit odd, but after a moment he thought that they should be able to accommodate all races and sizes, so it made sense. The doors that close the cubicles were made of some strange glass. It wasn't transparent, it seemed that it was tempered in some other way, and he couldn't see through them.

He entered the nearest one and closed the glass door behind him. Alec opened the shower and he was hit by the hot spray of water, his sore muscle relaxed and he let out a moan of pleasure. He was still hard, so he decided to quickly take care of it before washing himself.

Half an hour later he was walking the streets towards the Guild. He was wearing a white t-shirt and a pair of grey sweatpants, that he bought from the system for a couple of gold coins. He opted to go commando since the only underwear he owned was sweaty. Could he have bought some from the system shop? Sure. Did he? Absolutely not. After all, he was about to meet his senior advisor and it would be more fun that way.

With a little skip on his steps, he made his way to the Guild. It was already dark when he arrived and he really hoped that Kang didn't already go home.

He entered the building and there weren't many adventurers around, all of them were in line at the exchange counter. While he had some things to exchange, he did want to see Kang first, and he believe that having a private room to take out his loot would be more fitting, so he approached the counter.

The only receptionist free was a beautiful girl with a slim body, pointy ears, and shoulder-length brown hair. She had beautiful emerald eyes and it seemed she was in her late teens.

She was the Half-Elf Eina Tulle.

"Good evening, my name is Eina Tulle, how can I help you?" She asked in a polite tone.

Alec found her annoying in the anime, but it didn't mean he was going to be rude to her right off the bat.

"Good evening to you, I'm Alexander Von Nazarick. I was wondering if Senior Advisor Kang is still working, if so, could you call him for me?" Alec was careful at keeping a polite tone.

He saw Eina narrowing her eyes.

"Mr. Kang is a very busy man, and he does a very important job, so he doesn't usually waste time on trivial matters. So, you can tell me what you need, I'm sure that I am more than qualified to handle whatever you need," She spoke to him in a no-nonsense voice, and to Alec, it seemed that he hit her pride by requesting someone else.

Alec was looking at her unimpressed by her. Don't get him wrong, he knew that she was good at her job, but Alec wanted to meet Mr. Kang.

He was about to explain to her that he had an appointment with him, not the full truth but not a lie either when she spoke.

"I've never seen you, are you new?" She asked while sizing him up.

"Yes, I am. I started today, what about it?" Alex asked a bit defensively not liking where she was leading the conversation.

It seemed that at hearing his words she come to some kind of realization because when she spoke next her words took a more lecturing tone.

"I see," she started, "It seems that you are not accustomed to how things work here. You don't always get to be served by the same person. Every day changes in accordance to turns and other factors, but I assure you that we are all qualified to handle your business, so there's no need to call Mr. Kang, after all, we don't want to disturb him, do we?" Eina spoke like she was talking to a particularly stupid and petulant child. She was using a condescending tone and by her smile, it seemed that she wasn't even aware of it.

Alec felt his left eye twitch.

"Listen here lady, you don't seem that qualified to me. I ask you two simple things, and you seemed unable to answer my questions. Is Mr. Kang still working? Yes. Can you call him for me? No. See it's that simple," Alec retorted with a condescending tone of his own.

Eina was looking at him half enraged and half shocked, but Alec didn't let her open her mouth to reply.

"If you would have done that, I would have told you that he's my advisor and that I have an appointment with him. It seemed that the quality of some workers left to be desired here," He snorted.

Eina was frozen in her place, with her eyes cast downwards, not meeting Alec's eyes.

Alec didn't mean to be so rude, but her tone irked him and his inner bitch come out to play. If anything he was too tame, usually he would be more vicious.

In the end, another receptionist had to step in. It was a human girl with pink hair, she lead him to a private room and asked him to wait there while she went to call Mr. Kang.

Alec thank her before she took her to leave.

The room was simple, it wasn't too big, with only a table and two chairs. Alec took a seat on the chair facing the door. He had to wait only a few short minutes for the door to open and reveal Kang.

"Hey," Alec waved a little with his right hand and smiled at the bigger man.

"Hi," Kang replied with a smile of his own while closing the door behind him.

He took a seat and they were facing each other.

"You're late," Mr. Kang told him trying to sound nonchalant, but Alec could hear the worried undertone in his voice.

"Not really, we didn't set a time to meet up," Alec shrugged.

"You're right," Kang conceded.

"Why, were you worried?" Alec decided to tease him a little, and he leaned forward a bit.

"Yes, a bit," Kang replied honestly, "You have no idea how many new adventurers didn't come home after on their first day. After killing some monsters they start to feel overconfident and head down the lower levels. There they got surprised and kill by monsters," Kang said in a heavy tone, that dissipated all of Alec's playfulness.

"I see," and he really did, even if he couldn't fully understand.

"Being an advisor must be really difficult," Alec told him sympathetically.

Kang regarded him for a moment, before gracing him with a small smile.

"You have no idea," Kang's eyes seemed to peer at a long-distance past before he seemed to snap himself out of it.

Alec didn't try to get out of whatever state he was in, as he wasn't sure how he would react. Alec felt an immense power coming from him, and he didn't want to risk being punched by him. Luckily it only took a minute or so for Kang to regain his bearing.

Kang cleared his throat.

"So, how did your first day go? How far did you go?" Kang asked him in a business manner and Alec was a bit taken aback by it, but he simply shrugged it off.

"It went really well! I went down to the Seventh Floor, I could have gone lower, but it was too late for that," Alec inform him with a bit of regret in his voice.

Alec was surprised by the thunderous face Kang was showing.

"You did what?" He said in a low tone, and if it was any other situation, Alec would feel aroused by it.

Kang wasn't shouting, but his voice was steady and strong, it carried a commanding quality. Alec noted that the was the same tone as people who were used to be in charge, giving out orders, and who were used to be listened to.

"I ask you a question," Kang said in the same voice.

"And I believe you heard me the first time," Alec's shot back, not liking the tone Kang was using.

Alec met Kang's penetrating gaze, unflinching and unblinking.

"Do you have any idea how dangerous it was? You're lucky to be alive," Kang didn't back off.

"Do you have any idea how powerful I am? It may have escaped your notice, but I'm here, alive and uninjured, so maybe curb the attitude hon," Alec wasn't willing to back off either.

"I understand that you're worried, but don't plan on dying anytime soon. I know my limits, so…" Alec trailed off as he didn't know what else to say.

They stood in silence longer, until Kang decided to break the awkwardness.

"I'm sorry, I went a bit too far. It was a bit rude to demand things from you in such a way, please forgive me," Kang bow his head in apology.

"I'm sorry too, I shouldn't have responded like that to your worries. Just let's forgive each other and move on," Alec quickly told him.

"Very well, then told me about your day," Kang nodded and waited for Alec to tell his story.

"As long as you don't flip out," Alec teased him and Kang raised an unimpressed eyebrow.

Alec told his story from beginning to end, leaving almost nothing out. Throughout the retelling, Kang seemed both distressed and impressed. He was making some funny faces, especially when Alec told him about his plan to kill monsters in the pantry. Thankfully Mr. Kang seemed to have a strong heart and managed to not have a heart attack.

"Well, that's quite something for your first day," Kang sounded impressed by his feats.

"Thank you," Alec smiled, happy to have earned the praise.

"So, what about the loot?" Kang asked curiously.

"Oh, yes," Alec took out the magic stones and drop items. Thankfully the book he was given showed what drop items Upper Floors monsters drop. He took a few minutes after his shower to organize his loot.

With an overly dramatic move of his hands, magic stones and drop items appeared on the table. Unfortunately, the only reaction Kang displayed was a widening of his eyes. Alec hoped for something funnier.

"How did you do that?" Kang questioned him.

"How much do you have to report back to the Guild?" Alec questioned back.

"I'm in a unique situation where I have a free power of decision regarding my charges. I only report what I want to, not even Royman, the Guild Head, would be able to order me around. Ouranos and I have an understanding," Kang confided in him.

"Then I'd like for our conversations to remain privates," Alec requested.

"Very well," Kang agreed after a moment of consideration, after all at the moment he had nothing to lose.

"It's my magic. It allows me to have storage where things are put into stasis," Alec went on about how his inventory works, but he only explained the basics, nothing more.

"That's very useful," was the only thing he said, but Alec couldn't miss the impressed look in his eyes even if he wanted to.

"What's this?" Kang asked apparently shocked with what was holding.

"It's the drop item from the Jake Bird," Alec was confused by Kangs' shocked expression.

The egg was about 15 cm (5') long and weight about 1,5 kg (3,5 lbs), and it was of a deep shiny black color.

"It shouldn't be. The Jack Bird's egg is pure gold, while this seemed to be pure adamantite," Kang explained.

Alec's eyes went wide open. He knew very well that adamantite was a very rare and hard metal, found only in the deeper level of the Dungeon and only Level Six and about had the power to break it. The lower the Floor Level, the purer it was.

"Usually the metal brought from the Dungeon has a blue tinge to indicate its impurity. To see how black this egg is, there's no doubt that it was the purest ever brought back and it's worth a fortune," Kang informed him.

"How much?" Alec asked excitedly.

"If you were to sell it to the Guild you could make 15 million, but I advise you against it," Kang told him.

"Why?" Alec was more curious about why Kang didn't want him to sell it to the Guild, than the absurd high price of the item.

"Because you could easily sell it for thrice that price if you were to go to Hephaestus," Kang told him honestly.

Alec was both touched by Kang's consideration and shocked that he could easily make 45 million Valis just from a drop item.

"Where did you get it from?" Kang asked once again.

"From a hidden room on the first floor, but the color of the Jack Bird was blue-ish and not the regular yellow-green," Alec told him about the other room as well, after all, Kang was being honest with him and Alec felt that he should return the honesty.

Kang was interested, but he didn't pry too much. He told Alec to get the egg back into his inventory and proceeded to count the drop items and magic stones.

"1500 magic stones and 1500 drop items. That's a 100% drop rate and it's unheard of?" Kang sent him a questioning gaze.

"What can I say? I'm just that lucky," Alec shrugged and wondered what face Kang would make if he knew that his inventory was filled with more monsters part.

"You'll be the death of me," Kang sighed and stood up.

"In more ways than one I hope," Alec's tone was sultry, and he as well stood up.

Alec caught Kang's staring at his nether region and smirked.

'It seemed that going commando worked' Alec knew that the outline of his dick was clearly visible. He wasn't hard, nonetheless, his dick was well defined, pressed against the thin piece of clothing.

"See anything you like?" Alec let out in a flirtatious voice.

It seemed that his voice broke Mr. Kang from his staring.

"I didn't see enough to tell if I like it or not?" Kang told him amusedly and winked, before he exited the room, leaving a half-hard Alec behind.

'It looks like this time he got me,' Alec laughed a retook his seat, waiting patiently for Kang to return.

Fifteen minutes later he was, but he wasn't holding anything in his hands.

"I deposited the amount in your account, please check it with your card," Kang told him.

"How?" Alec questioned while taking out his card.

"Easy, inject some mana into it and it will show you the amount. To pay with it, you have to infuse some mana into it and think of the amount. It works even to transfer money between two cards," Kang explained to him.

Alec did as instructed and smirk when he saw the amount.

'5.250.000'

"Can you put 15% of it on Hestia's account, and have a default option to do the same with any other deposit?" Alec asked him.

"Sure, I'll handle it. is there something else that we should talk about?"

"No, that was all," Alec informed him.

"Well then, we should go then," Alec noted that Kang seemed a bit unwilling to separate so quickly.

They stood up, got out of the room, and started to walk. Kang accompanied him until the exit of the building.

"Tommowr I will enter the Eight Floor and I will possibly reach the Twelfth, but I'll make sure to see you in the evening," Alec told him while looking in his eyes, there was no mistaking the determination in his eyes.

"Thank you for your good work," Kang told him with a serious face.

A moment later they both bursted out laughing.

"I'll see you tomorrow evening, take care big guy," Alec nonchalantly and playfully slapped his chest a couple of times on the chest.

"Take care as well," Kang was amused by Alec's playfully slapping his pecs.

"Will do, bye," Alec turned around a started to walk with a little skip on his steps.

Alec really liked what his hand felt and now he was sure that Kang's chest felt as strong as it looked.

'Now, I have dinner to go and an elf to meet.' Alec quickened his pace.
