Chapitre 51: Adventurer

In the imperial city of Bern, Touya found himself engaged in a heated argument with a beautiful blonde girl over the gay erotica books he had recently purchased for his newly opened Moon Reader Cafe. As the girl insisted on obtaining the last volume of RoseMag, Touya stood his ground, unwilling to part with it.

"I'm sorry, but I came here specifically to purchase this book, and that's exactly what I did," Touya asserted firmly, refusing to give in to her request. Undeterred, the girl bowed her head in a gesture of desperation, hoping to sway him. However, Touya remained resolute, knowing he couldn't be swayed so easily.

"Please understand, this is my last chance. Every other bookstore is out of stock too," the girl pleaded, her eyes scanning the pile of books Touya had acquired. Her gaze landed on "The Order of the Rose" among the titles, piquing her curiosity.

"You bought 'The Order of the Rose' as well?" she inquired, her interest evident. Touya hesitated, unsure of how to respond. After a brief moment, she turned her shining eyes toward him, a glimmer of recognition in them. Touya had grown tired of these misunderstandings.

"You seem to have a keen eye for literature," she remarked, to which Touya tried to explained that the books weren't for his personal reading.

"Don't worry, I understand completely," she replied, a smile playing on her lips. Touya couldn't help but feel frustrated. She clearly didn't understand his true motives, and her smile only exacerbated his annoyance.

Lost in thought for a while, the girl eventually called Touya over to a secluded corner, prompting him to ask, "What do you want?"

"I propose a deal," she began. "If you give me the last volume of RoseMag, I'll personally autograph all of your 'Order of the Rose' volumes."

Touya was taken aback. Why would he want the autograph of some random girl? "Why would I want that?" he asked, confused by her offer.

"That's because I'm the author! I'm Riel Rifrese herself!" she declared proudly, puffing out her chest. Touya couldn't help but notice her rather prominent assets but quickly refocused his attention.

"Heh... so you're really the author?" Touya inquired, intentionally playing along. He was well aware of the real author's identity, as Yumina had informed him. This was an opportunity to have a little fun and call her out on her deceit.

"I am! Do you think I'm lying?" she retorted, her face displaying a mix of pride and suspicion. Touya was skeptical. The chances of stumbling upon the author of the book he happened to be buying in a random bookstore seemed highly unlikely. Besides, he already knew the truth.

"Then you must be Imperial Princess Reliel, right?" he said, exposing her as a fraud. The girl's face turned pale, and she appeared horrified by his accusation.

As she stammered in shock, Touya observed her distress, realizing that he might have pushed too far. "Wait... seriously? Is it actually you?" he questioned, his tone softening.

"Why would you reveal my true identity... Ah! Are you planning to blackmail me? To use me as a stepping stone to get closer to my younger brother, the heir to the throne, and then seize control of the country by defiling his purity?" the girl exclaimed, her mind spinning a wild tale of conspiracy.

Frustrated by her unfounded assumptions, Touya couldn't hold back any longer. He swiftly delivered a karate chop to her head, hoping

"Ow... Why did you do that?" the girl winced, rubbing his head in pain.

"Shut up! If it wasn't for Yumina, I would completely ignore this situation. But can this country trust you as its princess?" he snapped back.

"Y-Yumina? You mean Yumina of Belfast? Who are you exactly...?" Princess Reliel asked, curiosity clouding her face as she glanced at Touya.

Taking a deep breath, Touya tried to compose himself before answering. "My name is Mochizuki Touya. I am engaged to Yumina, the princess of Belfast. Although it's not officially announced yet."

"What?! Yumina is engaged? Out of all people!" Princess Reliel appeared awestruck for a moment, but then her eyes darted around as if she was concocting a strange story in her mind.

"Huh? But Yumina is a girl, so... What? Like a fake marriage...? Is your true aim to seduce the king?" she blurted out, her words filled with suspicion.

"Enough!" Touya interrupted, cutting off her line of questioning.

In the capital of Lestia, Lestein, the city bustled with activity, radiating an atmosphere of harmony and cheer.

"Hey, Alex! Completed another quest? Nice job," a fellow adventurer exclaimed.

"Yup!" Alex replied with a grin.

"Good morning, Alex,"

"Good morning to you too, Cedric," Alex responded warmly.

Among the bustling crowd of adventurers, a man with blond hair, brown eyes, a tall muscular build, and a handsome face stood out. He wore a sleeveless brown armor, and others greeted him as he made his way into the guild.

It had been a month since Alex began his journey as an adventurer in Lestein. Although he had been adventuring throughout the month, he took breaks to visit Arcadia and Babylon to keep tabs on the happenings in those regions.

This month could be described as tragic for the world, as Yulong had declared war and swiftly annexed the entire Kingdom of Hannock within a month, employing both military prowess and nefarious means to achieve their goals.

The king, royal family, and important officials had fled Hannock, leaving the populace behind. Yulong's behavior had tarnished their reputation, and even the king of Hannock was deemed a coward by his own kingdom.

Currently, Yulong was at war with Nokia, Horn, and Felsen, engaging them all at once and dominating the battlefield.

In Lestein, Alex had made a name for himself as an adventurer due to his strength, earning the admiration of his peers. He had also made some friends who were unaware of his true identity, as he always disguised himself.

Taking on challenging quests and utilizing his smartphone to locate and swiftly eliminate targets, Alex would provide proof of completion to the guild. His progress within the guild was remarkable, and he had already become a red-ranking adventurer with the title of Golem Buster.

He also revealed his rare null magic, teleportation, advertising his services to merchants and others, offering to escort them and rapidly gaining experience points.

Teleportation magic was highly sought after but often kept hidden by those who possessed it, fearing ill intentions. However, Alex's strength and ability to defend himself allowed him to dismiss such concerns, openly showcasing his abilities and attracting people to seek his assistance, thus increasing his experience and ranking.

There were a few instances when some individuals harbored ill intentions towards Alex, but inexplicably, they all met their demise through suicide or unfortunate accidents.

"Oh, Sir Alex, you're here. Have you completed your quest already?" the receptionist greeted him with a wide smile, aware of his capabilities.

"Yeah, did it," Alex replied nonchalantly.

"Your teleportation magic is truly impressive," the receptionist remarked in awe.

The receptionist then guided Alex to a separate room where he presented the carcass of a Two-Headed Golden Rhino. The guild examined and verified its quality, ultimately purchasing the carcass and rewarding Alex with experience points and monetary compensation.

"Oh, before I forget, Sir Alex, the guild master has summoned you," the receptionist informed him.

"A summon for me?" Alex raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"Yes, it seems a high-ranking individual wishes to assign you a quest. The guild master asked you to visit his office," the receptionist explained.

"Oh, I see. I'll be sure to pay him a visit," Alex replied, intrigued by the identity of this high-ranking individual who sought his services.

With a farewell to the receptionist, Alex made his way to the guildmaster's office, wondering what kind of quest awaited him.
