Chapitre 72: Lies?
After a moment of silence, Akira reached out his hand and intertwined his fingers with mine. I jumped in surprise as a light blush filled my cheeks.
"What—"
"Haru, what if I've been lying to you?" Akira delicately asked before looking me in the eyes with a soft smile on his lips.
What? Lied? About what?
"L-Lied about what?" I was confused and caught off guard by the sudden question, so I unconsciously tugged my hand to pull it away.
"I actually do remember Akira's life." Akira tightened his hold on my hand. "Well—"
What the hell?
"You do?" I scrunched my eyebrows together as mixed feelings welled up.
What the fuck? Why didn't he tell me?
"Mhm." Akira inclined head. "But—"
I pulled my hand back even harder as the feeling of hurt and distrust rose to the surface. "Why?" I frowned, staring at our hands with apprehension and confusion. Akira smiled sadly.

SkyHighLimits Jesus, I’m sorry for updating so sporadically. This chapter’s delay was due to making sure I was putting in what I wanted. Had to think about Akira’s and Haru’s mindsets in this chapter. ^^;
At least, I’m going to have a week break from school soon. Hopefully, I’ll get some major motivation and post more than once that week, but no promises. And after that, it’s gonna be finals time. That’s means projects and exams. TvT
