Chapitre 115: Chapter 110: Natasha Romanoff Captured in Siberia’s Genetic Experiment Base

A melodic, calm voice cut through the air. "Quite a remarkable company you've joined. May I ask you something?"

Sandy turned around to see Psylocke, her expression intrigued. "Of course, Psylocke. Ask me anything. I'll answer honestly."

Psylocke's eyes narrowed slightly. "What is it about the ice demon that has you abandoning your dignity to follow him?"

There was a hint of sarcasm in Psylocke's tone. Had it not been for royal orders, she wouldn't even be here. In her mind, the ice demon was powerful, yes—but not invincible. She had once fought alongside Apocalypse, a Mutant so powerful he was revered as a god. Though defeated by the Phoenix and restrained by Charles Xavier, Psylocke still held him as the ultimate Mutant. Compared to that, Ethan Hayes, while strong, was not quite on the same level—or so she believed.

Sandy's smile remained, undeterred. "Mr. Hayes is nothing like you think. Aside from his grand displays, he's a genuinely decent man. He respects women, pays us well, and treats us with dignity. There's no loss of pride in working for him."

Psylocke watched Sandy with suspicion, noting her slight blush. She wondered if the ice demon's psychic powers had somehow charmed her. Demons, after all, were known to enchant.

"In my eyes," Psylocke retorted, "selling yourself to a demon is the same as surrendering."

Sandy's expression shifted, a hint of a smirk appearing. "You, of all people, are going to lecture me about dignity? Weren't you one of Apocalypse's Horsemen once? If my information is correct, you served as his tool willingly, just for the promise of power."

Psylocke's calm didn't waver. "Apocalypse was the god of Mutants. Say what you will, but his existence was undeniable."

Sandy shrugged, unfazed. "And if Apocalypse stood before Mr. Hayes, I have no doubt who would emerge the victor."

For Sandy, Ethan Hayes was more than a powerful employer; he was her sanctuary, someone who had given her a life of peace and security. The money he provided had brought her more freedom than any mission or contract ever had.

Psylocke studied Sandy, her curiosity piqued. "You've made me more curious about this Mr. Hayes. Perhaps I'll understand once I meet him."

But Sandy only offered a slight smile. "He's not here at the moment, but when he returns, perhaps you'll see for yourself."

Turning, Sandy led Psylocke through the Osborn Group's headquarters, but Psylocke's true goal lay elsewhere. Her gaze was set on Mystique, now a senior figure in the company. To Psylocke, Mystique's defection to the ice demon's side was unfathomable. A once-proud Mutant, now working for a human—it was almost laughable.

"Sister Raven," Psylocke addressed Mystique as they approached her office.

Mystique looked up, her expression cool. "Shall I call you Psylocke, or do you prefer Captain Britain?"

"Psylocke will do," she replied evenly.

Mystique's eyes narrowed. "What's your purpose here, Psylocke?"

Psylocke didn't waste time. "I want to join Osborn Group. I don't know if Mr. Hayes will accept, but I'm here to offer my allegiance."

"Interesting. The royal family's finest warrior wants to join us. Why?" Mystique asked, skepticism clear in her tone.

Psylocke's gaze hardened. "Humankind has declared victory over Mutants. The royal family has no use for me anymore, and the Knights of the Round Table would never follow a non-British woman. The Mutant cause is crumbling. My only choice was to leave."

"Is that so?" Mystique replied, unimpressed.

Psylocke reached over her shoulder, retrieving an ornate sword. She held it out, hilt first, towards Mystique. "This is the Sword in the Stone. I took it when I left Britain. Does that prove my loyalty?"

Mystique took the sword, but its power repelled her, sparking a jolt that made her pull her hand back. "Impressive."

Psylocke's lips quirked. "The sword chooses its bearer."

"Welcome to Osborn Group," Mystique said, setting the sword aside. "For now, you'll work with our security team until Mr. Hayes returns."

"Understood. Though I was hoping to meet him directly."

Mystique's expression softened. "You will. When he's ready."

With that, Mystique left, leaving Psylocke alone with her thoughts. She was certain Mystique was hiding something—Osborn Group had secrets, and she intended to uncover them.

Meanwhile, in Siberia, Ethan Hayes stood at the top of a frozen mountain, surrounded by biting wind and snow. The icy landscape was welcoming to him, the freezing breath of winter as familiar as home.

A helicopter descended nearby, and Harry Osborn, clad in his Green Goblin armor, joined him. The two men looked down into the valley below, where the HYDRA military base lay, nestled among snow-laden trees.

"Peter's returned here after leaving London. Are you sure this is HYDRA's main base?" Harry asked.

Ethan nodded. "This is one of their primary strongholds."

A second helicopter arrived, and Peter Parker swung down on a web line, descending towards the base with practiced ease. The guards didn't even raise their weapons—they were expecting him.

Harry frowned. "This is what you meant by 'falling out'? Peter seems to have full access."

Ethan's eyes narrowed. "He's not the same. Since returning, he's been working closely with HYDRA, preparing to inject a third genetic serum. His goal is to achieve a perfect fusion of spider and lizard genes."

Harry scowled. "If he's taken their side, let me deal with him."

"Not yet," Ethan replied, his tone firm. "I need you to take out the outer defenses without being seen. Clear a path."

Harry stared at him, reluctant. "And why should I listen to you?"

Ethan met his gaze, unflinching. "Because if you don't, you'll be an ice sculpture by morning."

After a tense moment, Harry relented. "Fine. But don't expect me to go easy on anyone."

He activated his armor, which transformed into a sleek, black spider suit. With practiced precision, he maneuvered through the snow, systematically disabling HYDRA's defenses with pulse bombs and silent takedowns.

As Harry worked, Ethan watched from above, impressed by his skill. In his younger days, Harry had been reckless, but now he moved with calculated efficiency. Perhaps he had finally grown into the role he was destined for.

As the last of the defenses fell silent, Ethan joined Harry at the edge of the fortress. "Good work. Did you locate the entrance to the underground labs?"

Harry nodded, pointing towards a concealed elevator shaft. "The lab is a hundred meters below. HYDRA has some brutal contingency plans in place—if they sense a threat, they'll collapse the base, killing everyone inside."

Ethan chuckled. "Then it's a good thing I have no plans to die here. Lead the way."

Inside the base, Peter Parker moved through the high-tech labs with a calm, collected air. HYDRA scientists and soldiers alike glanced at him with respect—or was it fear?

In the heart of the lab, Dr. Connors glanced up from his microscope as Peter entered. "You seem tense, Peter."

Peter's gaze was hard. "Osborn has been experimenting with advanced genetic technology—beyond anything HYDRA has."

Dr. Connors frowned. "Osborn's tech can't compete with ours. We're on the verge of a breakthrough that will change everything."

Unbeknownst to the scientists, Ethan Hayes and Harry Osborn moved silently down the darkened hallways, each step bringing them closer to the lab.

Chapitre 116: Chapter 111: Peter’s Transformation with Three Genes, Dr. Connor’s Demise

Dr. Connor had focused intently on his own experiments, paying little mind to the Osborn family's growing influence. He had kept a close watch, however, on both Peter and Harry's movements—something that both intrigued and confused him.

"You and I both know the limits of Osborn's capabilities," Dr. Connor began, his tone sharp. "Without the core formula you provided, developing a stable lizard gene serum would have been impossible. Yet, the serum itself has a peculiar drawback—it transforms humanity into something… primal."

Peter nodded slightly but seemed distracted, lost in the echoes of Harry's taunts. The words cut deep, especially Harry's revelation that Gwen was merely one of Ethan Hayes's many women, a fact that Peter couldn't shake. He knew Ethan possessed immense power, but he was unaware of the full extent of Ethan's abilities, or his true identity as the Ice Demon. He simply assumed Ethan was a fortunate man, perhaps injected with a genetic serum that granted him his remarkable abilities.

Dr. Connor continued, oblivious to Peter's turmoil. "Our breakthrough here, Peter, lies in a unique genetic key—a synthesis that even Osborn cannot replicate without the original genetic code."

Peter snapped out of his reverie, looking at Connor with newfound intensity. "If they've achieved any breakthrough, then they must have discovered the gene key. They've managed to open the door to gene manipulation," he said, his voice laced with frustration.

Dr. Connor noticed Peter's agitation and chose his next words carefully. "You need to be patient, Peter. The risks with an untested third-generation gene therapy could be catastrophic."

"Any experiment comes with risks, Professor," Peter replied firmly, his gaze unwavering. "All I need from you is the injection. I'm ready to fuse three genetic strands and unlock their full potential."

Dr. Connor hesitated, but Peter's resolve was unshakable. HYDRA, with its relentless pursuit of genetic power, loomed over Peter's mind. He knew they had worldwide influence and control over bio-research; HYDRA's internal struggles to be the next Red Skull only intensified their hunger for power.

"Even if the experiment succeeds, Peter, you may never be able to go back to the way you were," Dr. Connor said quietly.

Peter met his gaze. "I've already accepted that. I have a unique gene within me that might be the key to unlocking this transformation."

Dr. Connor, reluctantly convinced, nodded. "Very well, Peter. Let's proceed."

Meanwhile, high above the lab's entrance, Ethan Hayes and Harry Osborn peered down from a concealed vantage point. With one swift motion, Harry disabled the elevator's security, allowing them to descend into HYDRA's hidden genetic research facility.

"This place is enormous. I can't imagine the resources it took to create a fortress like this, buried a hundred meters underground," Harry mused.

"Most likely, it was once a Soviet-era research base. The Soviet Union was a true titan back in the day," Ethan responded thoughtfully. "This base has probably been repurposed countless times."

As they moved deeper into the labyrinthine facility, Harry found himself grappling with dark thoughts about Ethan. A part of him still harbored resentment, and the urge to attack Ethan briefly flared. However, a chilling realization settled over him—the attempt would be suicide.

Ethan sensed Harry's internal struggle, a faint smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. "This lab is nothing short of a marvel, housing genetic experiments that rival anything we've seen before," Ethan commented, his gaze lingering on the rows of containment chambers holding mutated subjects.

"Dr. Connor seems to have perfected some groundbreaking techniques here," Harry observed, equal parts impressed and horrified.

"This is where Dr. Connor's research reaches its peak," Ethan replied, his voice laced with admiration. He could feel the mental imprint of Connor's research in his mind, effortlessly absorbing every scientific detail.

In a sealed containment unit deeper within the lab, Peter Parker endured the painful fusion of three gene therapies. His body convulsed under the pressure as metallic, spider-like limbs sprouted from his back. It felt as if every cell was being ripped apart and reassembled. Yet, despite the agony, he forced himself to persevere.

Dr. Connor, observing the transformation, was awestruck. "Peter…you did it. The fusion was successful," he murmured, his voice filled with wonder and pride.

Peter's newly grown appendages shimmered with a metallic sheen, their razor-sharp edges gleaming under the sterile lab lights. But behind the wonder in Connor's eyes was a flicker of something darker—a realization of just how potent Peter's transformation had become.

"It's remarkable," Dr. Connor said softly, backing away slightly. "The gene synthesis has exceeded all expectations. You've become something… more."

Peter's eyes, cold and calculated, locked onto Dr. Connor. "I couldn't have done it without you, Professor. But tell me… did you ever imagine it would come to this?"

Connor looked at him, confused. "What do you mean, Peter?"

Peter's voice dropped, a chilling tone replacing his usual warmth. "You sent a report on my father's research to HYDRA, didn't you?"

Connor paled, realizing the implications. "Peter, listen to me. I… I didn't know it would lead to your father's death."

Peter's new appendages rose, menacingly pointing at the doctor. "I've come to understand that we are responsible for our own lives, Professor. And now, I'll take responsibility for yours."

Without hesitation, Peter drove one of his sharp limbs through Connor's chest. Connor's face twisted in pain, but his lizard genes worked frantically, attempting to heal the mortal wound.

"Why, Peter?" he gasped, blood pouring from his mouth.

Peter leaned in close, his amber eyes devoid of emotion. "Because you betrayed my family. You can rot in hell and explain it to them yourself."

As Connor's breathing slowed, Peter watched his former mentor's life fade away, a final, agonized expression etched across his face. With one last, shuddering breath, Dr. Connor fell silent, his regeneration halted by the poison coursing through him—courtesy of Peter's enhanced spider venom, a toxin that targeted cellular regeneration itself.

From a concealed location, Ethan Hayes observed the entire scene with a grim satisfaction. He and Harry continued to survey the lab, their mission far from complete.

Harry, who had also witnessed Connor's demise, looked shaken. "So, that's Peter's true nature now?"

Ethan nodded, his eyes cold. "The fusion of three genes has unlocked something darker within him."

As they moved deeper into the heart of HYDRA's base, a sense of foreboding grew between them. They knew Peter Parker was no longer just Spider-Man; he had become something else entirely—a predator capable of remorselessly destroying anyone who crossed him.

In that moment, Ethan and Harry understood that a new, dangerous player had emerged, one whose allegiance was now a mystery.
