"That burn… did she do it?"
"Miss Liu, I know you might think that I'm slandering Miss Shen. But no, she's not your friend. At least she doesn't see you as one." The assistant felt her heart thud against her chest while her breathing skipped out of fear. "If you wake her up, she might hurt you too."
A shallow breath slipped past Heaven's nostrils. She let go of the knob, facing the assistant squarely.
"Let me take a look," she said as she reached for the assistant's hand, pulling her sleeve up.
A thick layer of frost coated Heaven's face upon seeing more burn marks on the assistant's arm. It looked like a curling iron based on the burn marks that were yet to heal.
"This is pretty recent," she muttered, looking up at the assistant. "Have you seen a doctor?"
"Uh…" the assistant lowered her head, feeling like she was shrinking under Heaven's gaze. "No, but Miss Shen gave me an ointment."
"Ointment?"
