Chapitre 7: 7

**Another Fresh Chapter**

------------------------------------------

(Initiating class selection!

Available Classes:

- Skeleton Priest

- Skeleton Soldier

- Skeleton Mage

Please choose your class!

Note: Your current class choice will impact your skills and future classes.)

Dave decided to choose a class first, thinking it was safer to get a compatible buff with his class rather than trying to unlock a potential secret class that he wasn't even sure existed.

"Let's see, the classes seem pretty self-explanatory, I think," Dave mused. The available classes hinted at the skills he could use, even those not listed in the system. This meant that depending on the abilities he acquired and mastered, more specific classes could appear.

Dave pondered for a while but eventually decided to go with the Skeleton Soldier class. He couldn't afford to fight from the rear like a mage, especially without a complete team, and certainly not as a priest.

(Class chosen!

Talent: (Instinct) acquired.

Skills: (Mana Strengthening Level 1) acquired.)

A blue light flashed around Dave for a moment, and he instinctively knew how to use his new skill. By circulating mana through his bones, he quickly felt his strength increase by at least 10 percent.

Woosh! Woosh!

Dave swung a few punches in the air and felt the wind ripple. "I must have the strength of an average person now, I imagine, and this strengthening doesn't consume much mana, so it can be used passively in battle." Dave quickly deduced and sat back down.

(Would you like to evolve your race?)

(Y\N)

"Yes." Dave said, and immediately after, another beam of light shone over his body, making him feel his strength increase. His bones lengthened and became more robust, and a small golden flame ignited in his empty eye sockets.

(You have evolved into an Awakened Sacred Skeleton!

Talent: (Command) acquired.

Skill: (Create Undead) has been replaced with (Convert Undead Level 1).)

"Not bad, not bad at all," Dave said to himself as he finished his evolution and opened his status.

----------------------------

Satisfied with the changes in his status, Dave gave a skeletal grin and looked at the other skeletons near the plaza. He soon approached one and placed his hand on the skeleton's skull, which looked at him in confusion.

"Convert!" Dave commanded, and a golden light shone from his skeletal hand over the skeleton's head, causing the nearby skeletons to immediately become hostile. However, this didn't bother Dave, who gave a mischievous smile. "Rise, my new servant! Hahaha!" The skeleton Dave applied the skill to trembled for a moment, and its eyes lit up with a small golden flame.

Satisfied with his new companion, Dave ordered it to attack one of the five skeletons advancing towards them. The sound of bones clashing resonated as the two skeletons fought, while the others ignored it and continued advancing towards Dave.

"So that's how Instinct works," Dave thought as he realized it was like something was telling him where to strike to cause damage to an enemy. Of course, it wasn't 100% accurate, but Dave was grateful for the ability.

Without even unsheathing his sword, Dave clenched his fist, coated it with sacred energy, activated his strengthening skill, and delivered a punch to the head of one of the skeletons.

Crack!

The skeleton's head easily shattered upon impact, and Dave quickly grabbed the mana stone. "Not bad," he said to himself as he looked at the remaining skeletons.

Soon, the sound of breaking bones was heard again, and Dave collected four more mana stones before turning to look at the two skeletons fighting—or rather, biting and hitting each other on the ground.

"This oddly feels familiar," Dave thought and decided to help his new subordinate. With a clean strike, he finished off the other skeleton and then healed his companion. "Look, friend, if you fight like that, you'll end up taking a lot of damage. Here, take this." Dave grabbed a skeleton arm from the ground and handed it to his new subordinate.

"By the way, you need a name. Let me think... how about Larry?" Dave said mentally, and a blue glow passed over Larry, causing Dave to receive a notification.

(Your subordinate is developing a soul, current progress 3%.)

"Oh, would that be like a consciousness?" Dave said to himself and decided to continue exploring the city, converting a few more skeletons into his new army.

A few hours later...

Dave and his new gang of five skeletons arrived at a weathered wall covered in signs of battle. The most notable thing about it was the type of skeletons guarding it.

"Are those... skeleton soldiers?" Dave thought as he looked at the well-armed skeleton soldier patrols guarding the outside of the wall. At a glance, he could see dozens of patrols of 2 to 5 skeletons equipped with swords, spears, and simple armor, which, although slightly damaged, still looked quite sharp.

"This might be a bit tricky," Dave thought, eyeing the small army of well-equipped skeleton soldiers before turning to look at his own skeletons, each holding bone arms. "I guess I'll have to rethink my plans."

Dave pondered as he surveyed the surroundings. Soon, he spotted a simple house with a wide door facing the wall. "Maybe this will work," Dave thought and decided to set up his little trap.
