When Ana finally got ready for the day, it was evening. Rowan was waiting for her in her receiving room with tea on the table, and cake and scones. He smiled at her when she came closer but his eyes were full of concern.

"Father told me that you are not feeling well. Are you better now?" heat rose to her skin, did Garry tell everyone that she slept till late because she was sick.

"I am better." she resisted the urge to scratch her face as she took the seat beside him. Noticing how he was looking at her for signs of her sickness which was not there in the first place.

"You should have called for me instead of your father if you were not feeling well. I would have taken better care of you." he grumbled when her face turned redder and he touched her cheeks.
