Chapitre 247: A Vampire

"Magical fountain?" Nathan looked at her in confusion when she nodded.

"I asked you to come and show me your palace, which I had not seen last time, and look, you are already here even though I asked the maids not to inform you about my visit. Isn't it like magic?" She chuckled like a child, rather than behaving as an adult and a married woman should in front of a man.

Nathan stared at her nervous maids and then back at Ana. His heart started to pound in his chest as fear began to creep in.

"Duchess, have you been taking your medicines and meals properly?" His family could tamper with any of it, and he could do nothing.

Checking everything now was impossible. They could make excuses about dishes tasting awful because they had mixed her medicines in them. Or they could administer the medicines directly. What was she taking this time? Sedatives or a new poison that could make her mind regress like a child's?
