Melia stared at the premium bottle of wine, her mood finally better. Her nose rose high in the air as she nodded.

"At least someone still has sanity left." The maid took it as acceptance and placed the wine on the table.

She gave the bottle a twist and filled the glass. Melia almost snatched it from the hands of Maggie. The sip took her to heaven.

"All the maids are lured by the rewards. You can not blame them when your highness is distributing topaz and sapphire rings as if they were silver coins. The maids had never seen such wealth and treasure." Maggie sighed as she sat on the other side of the table.

"But if it continues, your highness wins the heart of every maid. They would only take her command. I am worried that you miss Melia." Melia held the glass tightly as fury burnt her.

She had authority over this palace since the time of the previous duchess. How could a no name girl come and challenge her authority.
