Chapitre 44: [Bonus chapter]

"Yes, I do."

"You can always come back, Anastasia. I do not believe in the old customs like once you are married, you belong to another family. Your majesty has asked you to get married, but he has never asked you to stay your whole life there." Ana was sure that her father was the first one in history who would offer his daughter a divorce on the day of her marriage.

But it still warmed her heart and she chuckled.

"I will never let you down, father." Ana replied with confidence on her face when he rubbed her hands softly.

She had worn this dress before, she had walked on this altar before. She was nervous for the last time but this time.. She was more than prepared, more than eager and more than confident about the result.

As the door of the room opened, everyone turned to look at her and she smiled brightly as if she was the happiest woman today. She did not care about the mocking look in the eyes of a few noble ladies. But when it comes to Meredith, Ana paused and smiled at her brightest.

Garrison was already standing on the other side, he was stoic and cold. His blue eyes were frozen and it looked like he was forced to stand there. Beside him was Rowan, he was still staring at me with a conflicted look that Ana sighed.

'Was it so difficult to trust me.' she wondered as she walked and stood in front of the priest, beside Garry but her father still did not let go of her hands.

"Daddy!" she whispered when he sighed and looked at her with an aggrieved look before letting her hands go.

"Shall we start the procedure of the marriage, your highness?" asked the priest to the man standing beside her but Garrison looked at Ana as if asking if she was ready!

She looked back in his eyes as she was not expecting it. He was so cold when they stood there for the last time. She was so nervous yet he did not spare a glance but now.. She nodded when he looked back at the priest and nodded back.

"Do you, Anastasia George Ferenchild take thee, Garrison de Sophomerine, to be your wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto do you pledge thee your faith?"

"Yes, I do!"

"Do you, Garrison de Sophomerine, take thee, Anastasia George Ferenchild to be your wedded wife , to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto do you pledge thee your faith?"

"Yes, i do"

"From the grace of god I announce to you both husband and wife!"

"Now you may kiss the bride." her eyes froze at his words as she turned to look at the man whose face looked like he was at the funeral.

He moved closer, but Ana knew that he was not going to kiss her.

He held her closer and tilted their head as if they kissed but his eyes only stared at her as they were just an inch away. She could feel his breath on her skin but it only irked her.

He let go of her hands and she took a step back.

"Shall we?" He held her hands and they both walked towards their family.

George hugged her again as if they had been separated for ages. Rowan came closer and Ana hugged him.

"I am glad that i met you again." she whispered to the child softly.

"If you are tired, you can go and rest for a while. The party will start in an hour." Diana offered Ana while her eyes stared at Garrison who nodded his head.

Ana scoffed. Her worried mother should not be caring about Garrison's views. He was going to leave and would not return for their dance anyway.

She was humiliated badly as she kept waiting for him in her past life. They all mocked her by their smile and their looks. Rowan was the one to ask her to dance. As if he was trying to correct the wrongdoings of his father.

But she was so infuriated that she only pushed the child away.

Now that she looked at Rowan, she was looking forward to being asked for dance.

"I will stay here. I am not feeling tired." she did not take her eyes away from the child, "but if you are tired, you can leave. I did not mind it." The words were directed for Garrison.

The table froze and everyone looked at the man in question except her. The air felt heavy when Garrison's gaze darkened.

"You want me to leave from my own wedding party?" he asked a tone devoid of any emotions but everyone could feel the suppressed anger in it.

"No! I am just saying that a sick person should not exert himself." her voice was calm, sweet and when she looked at him, he even felt a delusion that she cared for him.

"But I never said that I am sick." the voice came through gritted teeth but she just raised a brow in reply.

"Is it! My fault." Then she looked at Rowan as if she had said nothing out of the ordinary.

"Rowan! How is your dance practice going on?"

"I am still learning… st.." his mouth opened and closed a few times and then he looked away.

"Good! Then I want to see how much you have learnt tonight."
