Chapitre 75: Acceptance. Once again.

The streets were empty. It seemed that news of the mass poisoning spread across everywhere. Savine wondered if the news of the ducal family disappearing had spread as well. But with how calm everyone was, perhaps it wasn't the case.

On the corner of her eye, she could notice all the eyes behind windows, but her mind was relatively peaceful since she couldn't hear any of their talks. It was nice living without her Gift once in a while.

She reached what seemed to be a square of some sorts and looked around.

'I want a smoke.'

There wasn't anywhere that looked like it sold tobacco. There wasn't even a place that looked like it sold anything else to smoke. Probably no one would sell one to her anyway.

Usually, Savine didn't make her own smokes, since it felt rather fake and sad. But today, she was willing to make an exception.
