Chapitre 102: The Bet

Even when Lady Victoria took her leave from the room, no one dared to move carelessly, not to mention, make a noise until it was obvious that she was gone.

What happened next was a flurry of activities as servants walked into the room with trays of tea and cakes to go with it. Even though they were nothing but servants, their movements were gracious and they moved in unison as if this was a choreographed dance or something. They even left through the door in unison. 

It was surreal and Dahlia felt like she was a character in a musical or something. Everything was too good to be true and she feared it. This kind of peace was usually the calm before the storm. What lies in wait for them in the future? 

Even after the servants left, there was still that tension in the air. Everyone had the notion that this was a trap and if they misbehaved, Lady Victoria might pop up and eliminate them like she did the first time.
