Chapitre 27: Adjusting to society
Rising from the bed Sarah nearly thought all she had gone through was actually just a dream and was stuck in that bed with Richard ('Husband' from chapter 1). Looking around she sighs in relief as she realises that she was in the hotel she paid for last night. materialising the same clothes on herself again she went towards the toilet to wash up and then materialised her veil.
*Thump*
Hearing the door being entered she looks to find the maids walking in with a tray of breakfast foods. There was toast and jam, pancakes with honey. "How did you know I would be awake?" Questioning the maids as she reached for one of the pancakes. Pure bliss. Those were the only words she could use to describe how she felt when tasting the pancakes. Listening for the maids they replied that Tian Long had told them that she was tired from the long journey and would most likely not wake up till the afternoon. Nodding to show she was satisfied with their answer she continues to dig in whilst the maids dismissed themselves and told her to ring the bell next to her bedside should she need them.
Wiping her mouth with the napkin at the side after finishing her breakfast, she went to her bedside and rung the bell and asked the maids for some herbal tea and asked them to bring Tian Long to her room. Sitting she waited for them to bring her tea and Tian Long which didn't take as long as she thought it would.
Entering the room Tian Long greeted her and then sat down on the chair opposite her and once again tried making small talk however he only managed to get her to talk whenever he asked her things regarding where they were going next and what they were going to do.
Plainly she only answered that they would enroll at the warrior academy where her slave (Charles) learned and then she would sign up as an assassin in the Assassins guild, whilst both of them would sign up to become adventurers and earn money and level up by doing jobs. Another one of her plans was to see if beasts could also gain occupations within their status as the Adventurers guild has an occupation room that gives someone an occupation from the god of occupations or at least the higher power in charge of the process. Each occupation has a hundred levels and each level gained from the occupation adds towards specific attributes and every ten levels a skill can be gained from the occupation
Listening to her plans Tian Long starts sweating bullets as any one of these plans could backfire tremendously and cause them to be hunted. Suicidal was the only word that came to mind when she told him the plans she had. Once she was done Tian Long said he will still register as an adventurer however she will be on her own experimenting with the occupation change. Slightly expecting that reply she just slightly smiles at him.
*Thump*
Hearing the door being entered she looks and finds that it was only the maids bringing the tea. Being served Sarah lighlty blows on the tea tha had just been poured for her and takes a sip. Exhaling in delight as the taste of the tea tastes better than the herbal tea she used to get back on Earth. Confused Tian Long doesn't seem to find the tea all that good yet Sarah's reaction made him think it was some sort of delicacy. Taking advantage of her better mood Tian Long starts making conversation with Sarah about the tea which started off a little rough at the start as she would only answer in a word and then ask him another question back but as the conversation continued she became more talkative and seemed to forget about yesterdays incident.
The conversation went on for an hour before it ended as Sarah wanted to scope out more of the town and get Tian Long to observe how people interacted with each other and get him to know what was and wasn't permitted by law by humans.
This was their routine for the week. They woke up progressively early until they developed a normal human sleeping routine and then walked about the town, came back by late afternoon and had dinner before seperating into their own rooms before dark and went to sleep. Another happy thing to note was that although Sarah hadn't completely warmed up to Tian Long she had accepted his presence and began to take the initiative to talk, although that was a rarity it showed her attitude to him was slowly changing which thrilled him.
They also managed to meet the governors son who was a charming young man who was unlike those young masters in the novels she had read back on Earth where they would see her beauty and then proclaim that they were theirs. Much to the dismay of Tian Long the two of them hit it off as the governors son, who had introduced himself as Derrick, was not moved by her beauty as he was enamored by the owner and was also knowledgable about swordsmanship and taught her for a bit which helped her gain the skill One-Handed Swordsmanship: Katana which Sarah also managed to level it to Level 3 Basic.
Another thing that set Tian Long off was that Derrick had touched her when training yet she didn't recoil like she had when he had joked about the compensation. What he didn't know was that the only reason she didn't care was that she was focused on the training and could tell that he was too in love with the owner to even think of anything remotely dirty in regards to her however she recoiled like that when he joked about compensation because he was attracted to her and she had read how lustful dragons could be in her past life.
Now that it was time to leave Sarah had bought a carriage from the governors manor although Derrick had insisted that she take it for free as a gift she was also just as adamant about paying and eventually won the argument in the end. The carriage is as sky blue in colour with clouds dotting the outside for decoration, the wheels were pure black. Sarah had also bought four white horses to pull the carriage as well as a dirver for the carriage. Driver was a nice way to put it as he was just a slave that had been gifted along with the carriage by Derrick, as she was exposed to the worst of society back in her previous life she didn't put much thought into it and accepted it outright. The driver was called Dean Level 9, he was five foot eight inches and had light brown hair with hazelnut brown eyes. If he didn't have average features he would have been quite the looker.
Stepping into the carriage she finds a sleeping Tian Long and just sat down on the opposite seat and told the driver to head towards the closest town that was in the direction of the Warrior Academy. Listening to his new master Dean urged the horses to move forward.
And thus their new adventure in the human world had officially began.

This is the end of volume 1.
I am sorry to announce that I won't be releasing chapters here until January after the Christmas holidays. However I will be doing a mass release after the holidays are over as an apology for breaking for so long. Let me know in the comments how many you want and I will try my best to fill the numbers.
