Seeing the noisy students made Karasuma nod; their energy might help Tsuna assimilate into the teaching job later on. He coughed to gather their attention, "Ahem..."
The noise slowly quieted down as the students turned their eyes on him.
Karasuma spoke slowly, "I'm sure Korosensei has told you about our new teacher who will take over the culinary subject. We've hired him from one of the best culinary academies in the world, Totsuki Culinary Academy..."
"Totsuki, huh? That's interesting..."
One of the students with pale skin and short red hair mumbled as his eyes lit up in interest, glancing at Tsuna at the front.
Some of the students beside him heard his mumbling.
A petite boy with blue hair and azure eyes tilted his head and asked, "Uh? Karma-kun, you know about the academy?"
"I heard of it a bit. You've heard of the infamous God Tongue, right, Nagisa?"
"God Tongue? What's that?"
Nagisa blinked his eyes in confusion at Karma's question since he truly had never heard of it.
However, a short girl with shoulder-length green hair beside Nagisa widened her eyes and exclaimed, "Eh? That infamous God Tongue is actually from Totsuki Academy?"
"You know about this, Kaede?"
Kaede nodded at Nagisa before explaining who the God Tongue was and why she was famous.
She went on about her background and her influence, feeling starstruck, as she added with a smile, "And she is currently studying at the Totsuki Culinary Academy. So, if our new teacher..."
"...is also studying there, there's a high chance he personally knows the infamous God Tongue, Erina Nakiri!"
Kaede looked at Tsuna with high hopes after saying these words, as she was a fan of the God Tongue.
She considered herself a home cook and was quite familiar with the culinary world, after all.
"That's it about his background. So let's greet our new teacher, Tsunayoshi Ito!"
Karasuma gestured for Tsuna to introduce himself and then added to the students, "Alright, everyone be nice!"
"Hello everyone, my name is Tsunayoshi Ito. I'll be taking over the culinary class from now on, so let's get along well. Since we're not that far apart in age, just calling me by name should be fine..."
Tsuna spoke with a smile before gesturing toward Soma.
He introduced Soma and explained that he was here to help teach them some useful skills to become better cooks.
"Alright, that's about it for the introduction..."
He nodded, seeing the students had already separated into a few groups.
Tsuna also noticed all the ingredients he listed that morning were already placed on each workstation as he continued, "So we'll be cooking a hot pot today. Soma will show you how it's done, and I'll be around checking your stations. Before we get started, do you have any questions?"
"Me! Me! I have a question, please!"
A student with long, straight strawberry blonde hair excitedly raised her hand. Tsuna nodded and said, "Sure, what's your question, Nakamura-san?"
"Eh?"
Rio blinked in surprise, not expecting Tsuna to know her name. She couldn't help but blush, thinking she was special.
Then she heard Tsuna continue, "I've memorized all your faces and names, so I won't need you to introduce yourselves anymore."
"...Ah, I see." Her expression turned slightly dissatisfied with that.
The other students snickered at her, making her pout before coughing to regain her composure, "Ahem... So, my question is..."
Rio's eyes narrowed mischievously as she looked sharply at Tsuna before shooting her question, "What's your type of girl, Ito-senpai?"
"Kyaa..."
"Rio-chan is so brave today!"
"Tch..."
The girls were giddy with excitement, their eyes turning toward Tsuna with hopeful gazes, while the male students clicked their tongues in annoyance.
"My type, huh?"
Tsuna mumbled, then his expression suddenly turned stony. He slightly adjusted his head position, giving a serious impression to everyone listening.
Their ears perked up, awaiting his answer.
"...?"
Karasuma felt something was off, seeing that stony expression.
However, before he was able to interrupt, Tsuna had already taken a deep breath before slowly answering, "I want someone with a big heart..."
Both of his hands moved up as he made a motion in front of his chest, which was odd to everyone since he used both hands as if describing something massive.
Humans should only have one heart, no?
"That's so wise of you, Ito-senpai!"
The girls loved what they heard and let out excited shrieks, shrugging off the odd gesture.
On the other side, the boys were skeptical of those motions, giving Tsuna a side-eye while silently thinking, "This guy... he must be lying..."
"Ohohoho, as expected of Ito-kun. He's truly a worthy comrade..."
Korosensei chuckled on the side, his expression turning slightly pinkish as he understood exactly what those motions meant.
He was a fellow man of culture, after all.
Karasuma facepalmed and sighed, thinking, "Thank god they're pretty innocent students."
After answering some more questions from the girls, Tsuna clapped his hands, instantly quieting the chatter in the room. They all looked at him as he spoke, "Alright, we're done with the Q&A session. It's time to get serious and start our lesson today!"
"And just so we're clear..."
Tsuna's voice turned a bit serious this time, making everyone blink their eyes at the sudden change of tone and look at him.
"I know about the current situation in your class, so my culinary class won't just be about cooking in general but... the end goal will also be to kill Korosensei with your cooking!"
"Ah yes... wait, what?"
"Uh? What do you mean by that?"
The students were all confused by the remark.
They turned to Karasuma for an answer, and he shrugged his shoulders as he nodded, "Well, he's hired to teach you how to kill Korosensei, so he's right..."
"Eh!?"
This sent an uproar among the students, who were utterly confused about how cooking could kill someone.
Was it by poisoning Korosensei?
But they'd already tried that, and it didn't seem to affect the octopus teacher.
"Ha! That's bullshit!"
A loud voice broke through the confused atmosphere, drawing everyone's attention to a student with short, spiky brown hair dyed blonde around the sides.
"Terasaka, you're being rude right now!"
Rio furrowed her eyebrows at Terasaka, who just sneered at her and retorted, "Shut up, Rio. I'm not talking to you..."
"Yo, senpai. You must be joking, right? They hired you to teach us how to kill with cooking? Are you nuts?"
"Though, I admit that's pretty funny."
"Kekeke..."
"..."
Terasaka continued, mockingly, as his goons laughed along with him.
Seeing all of this, Karasuma and Korosensei remained silent, observing how Tsuna would resolve the doubt among the students. Tsuna continued to smile gently, his demeanor calm and collected.
"Consider yourself lucky I got paid a lot, you brat..."
Tsuna spoke softly, his smile unwavering, before narrowing his eyes at Terasaka. "Then, how about making a bet with me?"
"Hahaha, a bet? Why do you think I'd tak---"
"1 million yen if I failed to prove my words."
"...?"
The other students sharply turned to Tsuna, including Terasaka, shocked by the astronomical number suddenly thrown out.
They listened intently as Tsuna continued, "But if I managed to pro--"
"I'll take it! Sure, let's bet on it."
Terasaka interrupted Tsuna, eager to accept the bet immediately, fearing Tsuna might retract his offer.
"Oh? You haven't heard what happens if you lose, have you?"
Tsuna raised his eyebrows at Terasaka, who sneered and casually waved his hand, "Who cares if I lose? That's impossible. Even if I do, I'd gladly do anything!"
"You'd do anything?"
Tsuna asked while raising his eyebrows.
"Haha, yeah, of course, you dumbass. I'd run around the school naked if you want me to, who cares..."
Terasaka chuckled mockingly, his goons laughing along with him.
Tsuna looked at them quietly before muttering, "Alright bet..."

Guys, what do we do about Korosensei? How can we help him?
I rewatched the anime, but I don't want to watch the last part of season 2 because I might cry. Any volunteers to scout for me? And give me input on how we can help him?
