Chapitre 19: Her Ethereal Beauty!

Yun Qingyue stood beside Lu Wuqi with the child in her arms. The child had fallen asleep at some point in her mother's arms and was held lightly. The little child's chest rose and fell rhythmically with the sound of her shallow breathing. It could be seen that the tense environment and all the running around in the dark had made the child exhausted as she fell into a deep sleep.

Yun Qingyue was also a little dazed from looking at the silent and dark world through the window on the third floor. She couldn't help but feel that the silent world seemed like a peaceful night but under the guise of the dark world hides countless deathly monsters ready to take their life away at any time.

The dark and silent world was not only peaceful but a death zone filled with extreme danger.

The only beautiful thing in the whole picture was the silent and round silver moon hanging in the sky. In the intermittent darkness where one cannot help but feel lost, the moonlight from the round moon becomes the only source of light and represents the tiniest hope in the fragile human heart.

Yun Qingyue also had this tiny hope in her heart and all because of the current Lu Wuqi. She silently replayed the entire scene of the past two hours in her mind and couldn't help but feel a little dazed as she was lost in thought.

Yun Qingyue stood there in front of the window, right beside Lu Wuqi. She was extremely silent with her round peach blossom eyes staring the bright moon.

The moonlight poured down on her flawless, clear jade like face and illuminates her entire graceful figure in a silver luster. She seems completely different from the entire situation of the world, like a fairy trapped in a mortal world filled with nasty monsters but no matter how dirty the world becomes and no matter how much she suffers, the fairy like grace cannot be taken away from her at all.

When Lu Wuqi came out of her thoughts, this was the scene that came into her view as she turned sideways to look at Yun Qingyue.

Yun Qingyue has a gracefull and slender figure with slim waist and long and slender legs. The curves hidden beneath the clothes are like the perfect artwork made by the hands of a god. Her loose neckline slides down slightly, and her delicate collarbone and fair shoulders tremble slightly with her breathing.

She was half a head shorter than Lu Wuqi and Lu Wuqi had to crane her neck down to look at her face. As she looked, Lu Wuqi's eyes went towards her her delicate and slender neck, her clear and beautiful jawline, her sexy red lips and a fair skin that was like soft jade with a faint luster. The touching warm light slid all the down to the deeper parts of her collar. Looking up, she had a pair of peach blossom eyes which seems to glow with a silver luster in the moonlight.

Even though she doesn't have any makeup on her face and her long black hair was messy with dirt and dust on them and even her clothes were worn out from the continuous wearing but all of these seemed to have added a hint of unruly charm on her already delicate face.

Looking at her like this, Lu Wuqi felt a little itchy in her throat and her heart felt like it was getting scratched by a kitten's soft paws. She seemed to feel something yet nothing. Something seems to be in her grasp yet at the same time, this strange feeling seemed to far out of her reach.

Just then, the figure in question moved and turned to face her with her clear peach blossom eyes, shining in the silver moonlight. Yun Qingyue felt the burning gaze from her side and couldn't help but come out of her thoughts and found Lu Wuqi looking at her with her deep and dark eyes. Yun Qingyue felt a little embarrassed but more of it was because of confusion.

Lu Wuqi felt her eyes directly falling into those round peach blossom eyes and for a moment she couldn't help but feel like falling into them before she immediately came back to her senses and hurriedly turned sideways a little unnaturally.

Her fair skin under the collar of her shirt was stained with a crimson colour and Lu Wuqi was quickly thinking of something to change the current awkward situation, when Yun Qingyue's low and suppressed voice floated into her ears,

"It'... So quite, right?"

Suddenly hearing her voice, Lu Wuqi forgot to respond for a moment before hurriedly saying,

"Hmm.... It is."

Then, Yun Qingyue continued,

"What should we do after tonight?"

Hearing her question, Lu Wuqi knew that Yun Qingyue was asking her about their next plan and it seems that Yun Qingyue subconsciously has begun to place some trust in Lu Wuqi, which was a good thing.

"Let's stock up some supplies. Then, we can find a vehicle to get to the next city. Ling Long would not be able to catch us." Lu Wuqi said in reply and then she turned to face Yun Qingyue again and said in a very serious and low voice,

"Don't worry. I will protect you and the child."

Yun Qingyue felt a little warmth flowing in her heart by her words but she immediately came back to her senses and her eyes returned to her usual coldness and she only gave a low hum in reply.

She knew that the current Lu Wuqi was a little different but she couldn't help completely sure. It may also be that she has gained a superpower and suddenly became arrogant and only wanted to act like a hero saving a beauty. And after seeing her summon a knife out of thin air also made her a little unsure about her previous conjecture.

But Yun Qingyue didn't want to think about these things too much. She knows that with time, she will be able to find out the truth if the current Lu Wuqi was truly different or she was the same as before and was only pretending. But in the current situation, she could only follow her to keep her and the child safe but would not completely place her trust on her.

At this time, when Lu Wuqi was about to say something, they suddenly heard a slight this sound coming from behind them!

Lu Wuqi immediately took Yun Qingyue's hand and they both looked back instantly but there was nothing behind them!

Lu Wuqi looked at Yun Qingyue and found her also looking at her and couldn't help but ask in a low voice,

"Did you also hear that?"

Yun Qingyue nodded seriously after hearing her voice and just when they were feeling confused about the noise, they again heard the same thud sound! Then another thud sound! It was as if someone was banging their head on the wall continuously and the thud sound continued to echo in the silent room like a death bell hanging above their head!

Lu Wuqi at this time calmed down and she immediately associated the sound with a zombie. And carefully listening to the sound, Lu Wuqi found that the source of the sound should be coming from the closed washroom door on the side of the wall, right beside the large locker!

"It should be coming from the washroom. There may be zombies locked in there, definitely more than one."

Lu Wuqi said after quickly analysing the sound coming from there and said to Yun Qingyue. She nodded after hearing her voice and asked in a low voice,

"What should we do?"

Lu Wuqi heard her and was silent for a second before saying,

"Let's go. I will deal with the zombies. You stay outside with the child."
