The closing ceremony. I was forced to stay because I'm the champion in the single combat tournament.
But when it was the time for me to be given the trophy, it was eerily quiet. No one celebrated it other than those who know me well. Though it's fine for me.
And I was given the chance to make a speech. So I said something that maybe everyone wanted to hear.
"This is the only time I participate in this competition. Next year, I won't participate other than being an audience."
A lot of cadets, especially those who are first to third year cadets feel relieved when they heard that I won't be participating.
By the way, Frank is there as well. Standing on the podium as the third place in the single combat event. He lost to the other finalist I defeated before.
With this, Frank will surely be competing in next year's competition straight to the knockout round. For the other thirty-one fighters, they will figure a way to select them.
