Synopsis
Du Tingfei dies and is reincarnated into a fanfic based on the novel Douluo Dalu, called "Douluo: New Destiny", which he wrote in his teenage years.
This story combines the first two parts of Douluo Dalu and explores interesting hypotheses: what would have happened if Huo Yuhao had not been controlled by Tang San? How would the world have changed if the two main characters had started from the same starting point?
But the central character in Du Tingfei's fanfic is not Tang San or Huo Yuhao, but Long Yechen, a failed otaku from the old world who is reincarnated with the ambition to build a harem and possess twin martial spirits.
Du Tingfei's life changes forever when he suddenly dies in an accident and discovers that he has been reincarnated into the very fanfic world he once wrote! Not Long Yechen or any other strong protagonist, Du Tingfei reincarnated as Yuanen Tingfei, the adopted younger brother of Yuanen Yahui – a minor villain who originally had a tragic end in the original work. The original character he designed himself, born with only a first-level innate soul power, Yuanen Tingfei felt inferior and hated his sister because of the unfair comparison, which led to many troubles. In the original work, he was supposed to be killed by Long Yechen in a few chapters because he was just a minor villain and was only added for fun because he was bored at the time.
However, now that Du Tingfei is actually living in this world, he decides to change his fate. He wants to feel what he always wanted in his previous life, love and family.
That's the theory, but he soon realizes that something is wrong. Why are the female protagonists in Long Yechen's harem revolving around him instead of the main character? Why is the older sister who is supposed to hate him hugging and cuddling him?
