Chapitre 68: Birth of the Fire Breathing Dragon!?
Sam got his guns back and looked at Nick, who shook his head before following Viktor. Natasha walked next to Viktor, asking "How is she? I haven't seen her for a long time." Viktor smiled "You should come by more often, she talks about you more than you know."
Natasha smiled happily and asked "And the little angel?" Viktor's smile turned warm as he replied "Amazing, everyday is a dream. I can't get enough." Natasha sighed and Viktor said "I was serious by the way."
She looked at him and remembered suddenly, he smiled and nodded "It's already done." Natasha froze and tears dripped from her eyes…
Steve followed Viktor and asked "Where are you taking us?" Viktor smiled and said "To my super secret underground laboratory, of course!" Steve replied simply "Last guy I knew who had one of those turned out to be a Nazi."
Viktor coughed and looked at Steve speechlessly, saying "Steve, man… Can you not be so grim?" Steve cleared his throat and smiled apologetically, Viktor got into the elevator and let the rest in before asking "By the way, find anyone yet?"
Steve sighed and replied "I'm not ready for that." Viktor patted his shoulder and sighed "I would help you if I could Steve, I really would. I can even make her immortal but…" he sighed again and shook his head.
Nick asked in shock "You can make people immortal?!" The other three were also shocked.
Viktor smiled wryly and said "I'm not as powerful as you think… I can only make one person Immortal in my life." Nick was thinking about it and Steve asked "Why only one?" Viktor replied simply "Because I'll die after I do it."
Everyone fell silent and Nick extinguished his thoughts, saying "Then what's the point…" Viktor smiled and said "If you have someone you really don't want to see die… Or I guess an enemy you want to torture for eternity. It comes and goes I guess…"
Viktor laughed and said to Nick "Tell you what, if you're alive when I'm on my deathbed, I'll make someone immortal for you." Nick rolled his eyes and asked "Will I still be alive then? Forget it…"
Steve asked quickly "You can save Peggy?" Viktor opened his mouth and closed it, frowning "Well, depends on what you mean by save. I can heal her, but her vitality is still declining. She needs life, not treatment."
The elevator opened and Viktor walked into the lab, continuing "I can make her look younger and extend her life a little bit, but she'll still die eventually. The problem is, I don't have enough time to make something to thoroughly extend lifespan. Does Peggy have that much time left?"
Viktor shook his head and came to a desk, grabbing a little case.
Nick looked around and said "This is some pretty high tech, Doctor." Viktor smiled, "I try." He turned the box around and opened it in front of Natasha and Steve.
They looked at the orange tubes and Viktor explained "This is the Extremis Serum I've been researching. A medical marvel created by Maya Hansen, then landed in Aldrich Killian's hands who used it to create heated supersoldiers. Now it's in my hands, has been for almost 2 years now."
Nick said "Super Soldiers?!"
Steve frowned and looked at Viktor, who rolled his eyes and said "Relax. If I want to rule the world do I need an army? Plus, why does every bad guy want to rule the world?" he put down the box, frowning tightly as he asked seriously "Fury, is there a prize or something? Why does everyone want to rule the world? You're like the 4th person I've asked. Nobody knows. Isn't that a lot of work?"
He sighed and continued "Take 10 steps back. Let's say you win and rule the world, how much more headaches do you have now? You have to manage the entire world and carry out plan after plan, what if you want to relax? No, sorry, several rebels are attacking! Then when you go out for groceries, everyone recognizes you…"
Viktor rubbed his forehead and said "What a nightmare!"

Nick was shocked and Viktor smiled "But Killian is such a moron. He has the world's most powerful money maker in his hands and he weaponized it. How stupid was he? So I butchered it completely. It is now a single injection that has been tested on 100 amputees. 99 of them recovered."
Steve asked seriously, "The last?" Viktor was frustrated as he mentioned this, replying "He recovered but he was old and died of shock right after! Can you believe my damn luck?!"
Nick said in shock "So you're saying you created a completely safe regeneration serum!?" Viktor nodded and said "Amputations are no longer a lifelong issue, yes. But this is only the beginning, you must know that Extremis is a fantastic thing! It can even cure ugliness!"
Sam rolled his eyes and Viktor said "No, like, I'm not kidding at all." He walked to the computer and typed on the keyboard, showing a before and after picture of Killian.
Sam was shocked and shouted "Holy fuck!" Viktor smiled and said excitedly "Amazing, isn't it?" Steve asked the crucial question "Then what are you giving to us?" Viktor smiled and said "Although, weaponizing Extremis and selling it or using it to rule the world is very stupid, the power is very strong. Though it may not beat Cap's strength, it's definitely not far."
Viktor added "You guys have to know that Killian himself could punch through Tony's armor with one punch. Even cut it in half with a palm knife." He made the cutting gesture and continued seriously "And that was only the first iteration! Extremely unstable and weak."
Viktor showed them the tubes, saying "I made each tube specifically for the individual who will use them. There's one for Natasha, one for Steve, and one for Clint." he paused and looked at Sam, saying "Sorry man. I didn't even know you." Sam waved his hand and replied "That's okay."
Viktor added "Though, I heard you can fly with metal wings, is that true?" Sam was stunned and asked "Where did you hear that?" Viktor twisted his finger in his ear and giggled "You know, the streets. At any rate, if you want a serum I can give you the base one with fire breathing powers."
Viktor's eyes lit up and he said "You'd be like a fire breathing dragon!"
Sam paused and pictured it, getting excited… Steve snapped in front of his face, saying "Wake up, soldier." before turning to Viktor and frowning "Doctor, I respect you very much. I even owe you a debt, however I think your research is very dangerous."
Viktor nodded and replied "I think so too. Originally, Extremis was only for the regeneration shot. After thinking it over I decided to give you all a boost. The world needs protecting and I'm not going to do it. You will, so let me help you this time. If you can save the world in the future, it'll count me as doing something."
Viktor added seriously "Cap. I live on this planet as much as you do. We faced Aliens in New York, who's to say that we won't again? Natasha is only a normal woman. You're the only superhuman among them, can't you protect them all? Not to mention SHIELD is gone."
He patted Steve's shoulder and continued with a smile "I took out all the fire powers, it'll only enhance you, without side effects… Or at least negative ones… I know you like simple things so I figured no fire would make you feel better."
Steve smiled helplessly and said "I think you're missing the point…"
Natasha said "I'll take it." Everyone paused and looked at her, she looked around and said "What?" Steve frowned "It's dangerous. I should know." Viktor smiled excitedly "Okay!" as he grabbed the tube, clicking the back.
A needle came out the bottom and he said "Don't worry, you won't feel a thing. At most, you'll get a little hot…" Steve frowned "Doctor." Natasha took the tube and stabbed herself before anyone could say anything.
