Bale's muscles twitched, his eyes fixed on the dragon girl, as if he was seconds away from ripping her apart. His voice was cold, coming out in a low growl, holding no atom of sympathy. "I think you should leave. I have no business with you whatsoever."

Standing beside him, I could feel the barely-contained storm building inside him. His grip on my wrist tightened as if holding on to his last thread of control.

He was getting hot.

His temperature was rising.

I could feel his beast just beneath the surface, eyes glowing as though he wanted to murder.

Jordan watched in disbelief with eyes opened wide at her actions as he was unable to hide his shock. He had never seen Bale react like this before. And to crown it all, he almost lost it because of me.

"Take her back to wherever the hell you brought her from," Bale muttered, his voice a low growl.
