"You're Aiden, right?" She asked me, walking past me only to stand in front of me, violent eyes scanning my every feature. "... My Alpha's ex-mate".

She muttered, the corners of her mouth lifting slightly as she watched my reaction to see if her words got to me. But my expression were as good as neutral. Mostly because I detested the person who stood before me, and I didn't want to give her the satisfaction of knowing that I was deeply affected.

I pressed my teeth together, my jaws moving slightly unnoticeably and my palms fisted in the pocket of my jacket. Hell, I was fighting to surpress the rage threatening to burst out along side my demons.
