Chapitre 117: Forbidden Frustration (3)

The doctor moved around the room, arranging his medical paraphernalia. He had all kinds of medical things from needles and bandages to bottles of medicine.

He looked up and saw Mikael and Nicolaus walk in. The doctor stopped what he was doing right away and bowed to them, giving them a greeting.

Mikael slowly approached the bed where his friend Talon was resting. He leaned forward and peered at his figure lying on the bed. 

Talon had no color on his face, and he looked like he had lost a lot of blood and had barely any life left in him. His mouth was parched and his lips had deep cracks on them, as if they had been torn by his teeth.

Mikael wondered how he was feeling and if he was in pain. Though, he did not realize that Talon's condition had improved a lote, and that the doctor had been astonished by how well he was doing today.

Mikael glanced at the doctor with a worried expression and asked softly, "How is he?"
