Chapitre 168: Bite of the Winter (6)

Mikael stood from his bed and made his way to the window. The curtains were pulled back to the sides, revealing only the view through that specific window.

Its glass which was once transparent now bore a screen where the warmth of the room touched the winter from outside. Mikael pressed his hand against the cool glass, swiping away the condensation. 

Peering through the clear spot he had created, the scene ahead greeted him, appearing darker, frost blurry even, despite it still being two hours before evening.

The blizzard outside was howling relentlessly. The snow continued to dance in the air as the bellow of the winter wind became its music, singing hauntingly, dropping the temperature drastically. It obscured the surroundings into a blurry haze, making it impossible to see more than thirty meters ahead.
