Chapitre 96: The Crow's Lament

John let Sayuri inside his apartment, despite the place being its usual mess. It was a small place, but it didn't bother him since he had no attachments. 

Well, until now. Sniffing and coughing, the Fae shoveled his laundry pile off a chair so that Sayuri had a place to sit. The Tengu courteously took a seat, still clasping onto the mug his boss had given her.

"Y-you don't need to feel guilty at all," John stuttered, somewhat embarrassed. "If ever, it's me, I didn't-" 

Sayuri shook her head. "I keep imposing on you, intruding on your privacy. I should have known better that you would be ill-equipped to-" 

John burst out in laughter. How could his assassin be so cute this time? He began thinking that if death finally came for him, it wouldn't be so bad if it was her. Then again, going by her personality, she probably would be even more hesitant the closer they became.
