Chapitre 1: Chapter 1

"Another day for me to prepare, and another day before all hell breaks loose, you can change " I said to no one in particular as my thoughts wandered back to when I first woke up with a new set of memories.
Let me explain what exactly happened to me, and who I am. My name is Kageyama Akio, I'm a second-year high school student at the Fujimi Academy. It was last month that my memories from my past life came back.
The day those memories came back to me was one spent in fear and anxiety which was an entirely acceptable reaction if you asked me. After all, imagine living 17 years of your life with nothing out of the blue only to wake up with a brand new set of memories, one that foretold of a future devoid of the daily things we all took for granted.
Anyway, I should probably get ready for school I can't let Saeko-chan wait for me too long after all. Yes, Saeko, the one and only Saeko Busujima, if there is one thing I'm happy with since I've gotten my memories back, it's that I was childhood friends with Saeko though she is older than me by a year, it doesn't matter as we have been friends for quite a long time.
Getting out of the shower and dressing up, I can't help but admire my body, I mean even in my last life I was fit and healthy as an athlete, I have the typical Asian black hair which for some reason is always messy, and blue eyes that my mom said came from my dad, it's not bad to admire yourself in front of the mirror once in a while after all.
"Good morning Sae-chan, it's quite a fine day outside for a date isn't it?" I teased her as she became a bit flustered, man even though she is older. She's quite easy to tease and it's no big secret that we have feelings for each other, except for the fact that I haven't really made my move yet, I am planning to though. What? With all the shit coming in 5 months, it's better safe than sorry.
Man, she's a real beauty, calm, collected and kind too though she has a bit of a sad backstory it doesn't mean I'm scared of her.
"Honey eat your breakfast quickly and stop teasing Saeko-chan, your gonna be late for school!" My mom said, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yes yes mom, I'll just grab a quick bite and I'm out with Sae-chan." I replied to my mom. Taking a quick bite and telling Saeko to get ready to leave, I was by the door ready to go.
"Saeko-chan are you done?" I asked her as I put on my shoes by the door.
"Yes Akio-kun, let's go! Bye auntie, have a nice day!" said Saeko, as we are about to leave. "Bye mom, I'll see you later!" I said to my mom.
Walking in the street on the way to school, while I have been scared for the past few weeks, I can't really just sit around with the apocalypse coming in 5 months, there are honestly so many things to do, and so little time, but I'm sure I'll manage, after all, while 5 months isn't much to the hell that is coming soon, it would be enough for me to at least secure supplies I would need.
Me and Saeko arrived at the school gate after 20 minutes, we had to say goodbye as we need to go to our respective classrooms. I went to my class, and saw one of my best buddy, best friend, or whatever you can call it.
"Hey Kohta, tough match last night wasn't it? We barely clutched the 2v2 last night bro." I said, and yes my best buddy is Kohta, he may look chubby and weak but never underestimate his knowledge of firearms.
"Yeah that was a close game, if they had grenades we would have lost it." Replied Kohta, last night we played a game called PKPG or Player's Known Play Grounds, and boy was it fun, especially if you play it with a gun addict like Kohta here.
The door opens and our teacher comes in, and so a very boring class starts. Man, I have to suffer this hell for 5 months, and it takes 6 hours before we can go.
*Sigh*

3 words and that is School is Hell, I mean in 5 months I wouldn't even be able to use this knowledge even more for history, what good would our history class do in the apocalypse and then there's Koichi Shido, well I'll probably leave this guy when it's time to escape.
I've mapped out the school, for easier access to exits and spots to hide when shit does hit the fan and now my only problem is my mom and the supplies. I plan to tag along with Takashi's group as it would be better to stay in a group since we would be able to help each other and based on what my past self watched, it was indeed the better way.
Right now, I'm on my way to the kendo club to pick up Saeko as we usually go home together, knocking on the door I was greeted by a member of the kendo club. "Saeko?" asked the random club member. "Yep I'm here to pick her up, can you please tell her I'm here." I replied as she went to call Saeko. And there she is ready to go and as beautiful as always.
"W-well what are you staring for Akio-kun, let's go..." she said as she was getting rather flustered with my staring. "A-ah alright let's go, by the way, want to grab some food on the way home?" I asked her. Why did you have to stutter at your first word?!
"Ok Akio-kun, it's a date, ufufufufufu." Saeko replied, ah well now isn't she just teasing me... Is this revenge since I teased her a lot on the way to school?! "O-oh-ho, is that how it is Sae-chan?" I tried to tease back, in this situation I just can't seem to fight back as thought as I inwardly sigh.
