Agatha and Zeir returned to the ruined house that came to be their new home. Once they got to the bedroom, she placed a change of clothes on the bed. The wolf gently took them with his teeth and went out.

When Zeir came back into the room on his two human legs, Agatha was looking out the window, her back to him. Her voice was but a whisper. "All the time we spent at the Golden Draconian Palace, you didn't change into your human form. Are you displeased with your new appearance? Do you still resent me for turning you like this? Maybe I was selfish and you don't want to be near me."
