"Fuwaaa~" A girl slowly rose, stretching her body. Her golden-brown eyes blinked multiple times, trying to adapt to the sunlight. Gently getting off the bed, the black-haired girl quickly fixed the sheets, before heading over to her bedroom door and gently opening it. Immediately, the smell of grilled salmon immediately assaulted her nose. Quickly descending the stairs, the wolf-girl entered the kitchen.
"Good morning, Mio." A teen in a white T-shirt and black shorts was at the stove, grilling 2 pieces of salmon. Turning slightly to face the girl, he gave her a smile. Untying the apron he was wearing, the teen hung the apron on the side of the refrigerator, his golden tails swishing behind him. All 9 of them.
"Good morning, Sou-chan~" Spreading her arms out, Mio approached the teen before hugging him gently.
"Is that your nickname for me now?" Laughing, he gently reciprocated the hug. "You just removed the 'at' from 'Satou' to make 'Sou'?"
"Mhm." Releasing the hug, Mio walked over to the stove before lifting a pot lid. "You made me Miso Soup?"
"Umu. I wanted to improve my skills with Miso, and I know you like Miso Soup." Satou yawned, covering his mouth with one hand. "Are Korone and Okayu still sleeping? I know they might be tired from streaming recently, but they have been working hard since they debuted a week ago."
"They probably are. Should I go wake them up?" Mio gently tapped the counter next to her. "And where is Fubuki?"
"Fubuki is in my room. She snuck in again and fell asleep." Satou sighed. "I'll go get all three, do you mind setting the table?"
"No problem." Grabbing a few dishes from a cabinet, Mio began heading to the dining room.
"Now then," Waving his arm to the side, a tear in space appeared in front of him. The tear, or "gap" as he liked to call it, had many eyes peeking through the gash, where the clefts of the gash were tied with a purple ribbon on each side.
Walking through the gap, he immediately appeared in a different room which was a lot wider compared to most rooms in the house. Looking over to the bed, he sighed, before smiling ever so slightly. The purple-haired cat was peacefully lying on her side, with the brown-haired dog hugging her from behind.
"Okayu. Korone. It's time to wake up."
"Mhm," Korone grumbled, before hugging Okayu tighter to her. "A little more..."
"Onii-chan..." Okayu briefly opened her eyes before holding her arms out. "Join us."
"Come on now, I need to wake up Fubuki." Walking over to the two girls, he began rubbing both of their heads, creating pleased sounds before he leaned toward them. "Besides, I made breakfast already. Salmon and Miso Soup."
Okayu opened her eyes, before slowly sitting up, Korone still attached to her. "Wake up Koro-chan."
Korone simply stretched, before rolling off the bed. "Hnn."
Creating another gap, Satou began heading over to it. "Make sure to go down quick, Mio is already downstairs."
Getting responses from both, Satou walked through the gap, finding himself in his room, before approaching his. Pulling the covers off the bed, he quickly found the white-haired fox girl cuddled up to his pillow, snoring away.
"Fubuki, it's time to-"
Satou rapidly felt himself get pulled onto the bed, where amethyst eyes found themselves staring at light-blue ones.
"Morning Satou!" Fubuki loudly greeted, swiftly clinging onto Satou's back after breaking eye connection.
"Good morning Fubuki." Satou lightly smiled, before trying to pull himself up. "It's time for breakfast."
"Hnn. I don't want to walk downstairs though..." Fubuki's eyes immediately lit up, an idea sparking in place. "Satou, carry me down."
"Hmm?" Satou tilted his head in confusion. "But making a gap would be quicker-"
"No. You need to carry me down." Fubuki's eyes narrowed.
"Uhm, alright, I guess I can do that?" Shifting his tails slightly, he allowed Fubuki to climb comfortably onto his back.
"Wahhh..." Fubuki began to relax as Satou began his walk downstairs. As he approached the bottom, he found Mio, Korone, and Okayu waiting for the two of them at the table.
"There you two are. Now we can begin eating." As Fubuki hopped down from Satou's back, both took a seat before grabbing chopsticks each,
""""Itadakimasu!""""
As all 5 began to eat, their usual shenanigans began.
"Sou-chan~ Can you hand me the Tofu?"
"Ehh?! You gave him a nickname Mio?"
"Fubuki, calm down."
"Hmph."
"Ahaha!"
"Korone, sit down."
"Oi! I didn't do anything wrong yet!"
"You just said yet."
"Onii-chan, do you have anything to do today?"
"Hmm, I think Tanigo-san wanted to talk to me about something."
Most of the conversation died down as everyone stared at Satou.
Okayu was the first to break the silence. "Yagoo wanted to talk to you? What for?"
"I'm not sure, it might be for safety reasons. That or he might need my help with talents again." Satou put a finger to his chin. "It might be since I'm the only male living in the same house as 4 of the talents. If someone finds out about this, you guys might get hurt."
Fubuki frowned, tears welling up in her eyes. "So you might have to leave us?"
"No, we should be fine." Shaking his head, he snapped his fingers, letting empty plates fall through different gaps into the sink. "Tanigo-san is my long-time friend, he knows how much we care for each other. He wouldn't separate us."
"Can I go with you? I need to visit MikoMiko and make sure she hasn't died of starvation yet." Korone spoke up, staring at Satou with puppy-dog eyes.
"Sure. That's not a problem for me." Satou nodded, causing Korone to cheer, tail wagging behind her. "Anyone else wants to go?"
"I'll pass." Okayu shook her head. "I'm still tired."
"I'll stay behind as well." Mio began grabbing leftover dishes. "I need to do laundry after I wash the dishes."
"As expected of Mio-mama." Satou jokingly teased, causing the wolf-girl to blush slightly before looking away.
"Fubuki wants to go!" Fubuki cheered, raising a hand. "I need to visit a friend."
"Fubuki." Mio turned to her, eyes narrowing. "Your friend better not be a burger."
Fubuki flinched, before looking away, ears flat. "I wasn't going to..."
"Uh-huh." Mio was not amused. "Sou-chan, make sure she doesn't get a burger. Don't get one for her either."
"Ehh?!" The white cat-fox pouted, before crossing her arms. "Not fair."
"It's okay Fubuki." Satou patted her back, before leaning towards her, whispering. "I'll get you one later."
"Mhm..." Fubuki blushed, covering her ears. "O-okay."
"Neh! Neh! Satou! Let's go already!" Korone wrapped her arms around Satou, before picking him up and tossing him into the air. Feeling his current airtime, Satou quickly adjusted himself to land, but Korone caught him in a princess carry. "Come on!"
"W-wait! Korone! I still need to change! Put me down!" As the duo disappeared into the living room, Mio and Okayu watched their white-haired friend pouting in the direction Korone and Satou went, before she too followed after them. Turning to look at each other, Mio simply giggled while Okayu sighed, before smiling.
The woes of love.
