Chapitre 38: Sunshine

Luciano stirred the food on the fire and occasionally glanced at the young boy who was in the kitchen with him. He was quiet and obedient too, he had followed his instructions without complaint.

He covered the food. "so all we have to do now is wait for the food to be ready" he told Ricciardo.

"Okay" he replied.

"I uh am sorry about the death of your father, accept my condolences" he told him. Luciano had heard about the death of Ricciardo's father from his aunt Fiona when she was discussing with a client the other day.

"Don't be" Ricciardo told him.

"Huh?"

"I said don't be sorry, he was a horrible man, I am glad he died" Ricciardo replied.

Luciano shuddered at the hatred in Ricciardo's eyes when he spoke about his father. He didn't like seeing such hatred in his eyes so he changed the subject.

"So, how is school? What is your favorite subject?" he asked, at least this was a safe question, he thought to himself.
