Long Hui left everyone and marched off in anger to his own residence.
Iris, Jin Liwei and Meimei glared at his back. Yang Jiahui watched him leaving, a sad expression on her face, while Long Tengfei looked conflicted. Long Hui was still his eldest son after all.
"Jerk!!!" Meimei spat when Long Hui was gone.
"Xiao Mei, you should stop," Yang Jiahui said in an exhausted tone, massaging her temples.
"I'm only telling the truth, Auntie. Uncle Tengfei, your son is a big jerk!!!"
Yang Jiahui sighed, not bothering to scold her niece anymore.
Long Tengfei didn't respond to Meimei, turning to Iris instead. "Xiulan, you shouldn't have provoked your brother. He…he's very stressed. It's hectic at the company now, not to mention that he also has to deal with the custody battle."
This dinner episode has a total of 3 parts. This is the last one.
Also, a reminder that I'll be going on a semi-break in the last 7 days of every month to focus on resting and recuperating. During these 7 days, there will only be 1 daily chapter.
My semi-break for September will start tomorrow. Regular releases will continue on the 1st of every month. In this case, on October 1. Please be patient. This is the only compromise that I can think of without going into full hiatus.
It's not that I'm forcing myself to write or to update. I'm just so fully immersed with the story that it bothers me if I don't write regularly. While I hear that some of my fellow authors have started losing interest in their stories, it's not the case for me. I'm still very much into it. But since my health isn't the best right now, I don't have a choice but to reduce my writing workload. Very sad but it must be done.
Thank you for your understanding, patience and continued support. Don't worry. When I'm recovered, I won't be stingy with chapters.
Have a nice day. Take care!
