"I just arrived back," I complained as Jessica barged into my house with another of her great news. I was having a lazy time in my garden with a book and some snacks when she shoved a contract in my hand.

I was not actually reading the book, but I was busy thinking of the man that I had not seen for several days since he left me at the hotel.

Under any other circumstance, I would be thrilled with the news she brought with her, but this time, I just did not give a damn.

"What's wrong with you, Sabrina?" Jessica looked unbelieving with my reaction. She started flailing her hands on the air, still confused with my indifference. "You have been waiting for this for so long, now that it is within your reach, you don't want it."
