As Spider spoke, another group of men and women entered the nightclub from the lower level and from doors that had been hidden on the second-floor balcony ringing the main room. Easily just as many guards as Spider’s first group that they were still dealing with, but these were not all the same. Not all vampires.

A few of them were obviously Shifter’s, their eyes already glowing to show their readiness to attack. Others must have been those Nature spirit’s that Jeremiah had heard them mention a couple times. Their own eyes blazed with an inner fiery light or flashed and roiled like thunderheads.

Nymia quickly backed up so she was close to Sara and Jeremiah again, Sara’s wolf shape looming protectively around the both of them as she looked around, her gaze lingering on the Shifters in the room. Nymia put a hand on Sara’s side and stroked the fur for a moment before demanding answers.
