Chapitre 25: Cursed Grail

She didn't see any bloodstains on the bandage, and she admitted that he had bandaged her wound neatly. Not only neat, but he really succeeded in stopping the bleeding in her wound.

'I really underestimated him.' After looking at her leg, which was neatly bandaged, she was worried about something.

Alicia's face turned red when she guessed the person who put the bandage around her body when she was first brought to this palace. 'Did he do it?'

'That's not possible! I'm sure he can do this neatly must be the result of learning from Rufus or Belle.' She looked for facts that could deny that Young Master was the one who bandaged her body. She might have fainted from embarrassment if he had been the one to do it.

Before Young Master returned, she took the time to think of a question to ask him. Even though there were so many questions in her mind, she had to decide on a question that represented her whole confusion. She was sure that if she asked confidently, maybe Young Master would melt and answer her question.

Alicia continued to practice asking Young Master inside her mind so that she wouldn't stutter like before. That way, perhaps Young Master will be willing to answer her question completely wholeheartedly.

When Young Master returned after putting his first aid kit in its place, without waiting for a second, Alicia immediately pointed at him with a question.

"Young Master! Before leaving here, may I ask you a question. If you don't want to answer that's fine too, but I really want to know. What actually happened to me when you first helped me in the Holy Kingdom?" Alicia screamed a little while asking that. She was carried away by the churning emotions in her heart.

After asking such a question, she definitely wouldn't dare to look the Young Master in the face directly. While looking down, she clasped her palms tightly against her chest, hoping she would get an answer.

'As expected, he will ignore me again.' Alicia was completely embarrassed after shouting at the Young Master. She knew that her actions would be disrespectful to the Young Master, but she had already done it.

She was now stuck in an awkward state, and she didn't know how to get out of that state. But her awkwardness disappeared when a wet towel was thrown at her.

"Eh?" Alicia immediately opened her eyes and took the damp towel that landed on her head.

There was no word from the Young Master after throwing the towel away. He immediately walked past her and returned to his chair to read a book.

"Warm..." As she gripped the towel, she realized that it was a towel that had just been soaked in warm water. Although he was not told what he put the towel for, she knew what she had to do with it.

She immediately wiped the blood that covered her leg, and it had started to dry. While wiping, she thought about what was going on in Young Master's mind and how did Young Master get warm water from the bathroom.

Even though there was no stove or fire to make the icy water warm. 'Did he use a magic to warm the water?'

In the fairy tales that she had heard, there was a conceptual system of the human ability to control nature through mystical, paranormal or supernatural. That system was called Magic.

Question after question came to her mind to guess what Young Master had just done.

But in the world where Alicia lives, humans can use magic in fairy tales. Since the world was formed, gods did not allow humans to use magic to maintain peace between humans.

Although it was considered a myth, hundreds of years ago, there was a legend about a species that could use magic. They were a Cursed Species.

Not only did they have the ability to use magic, but they also possessed physical strength far above humans, fast wound regeneration and a long lifespan.

With that much power, of course, they will easily destroy human civilization and rule the world. In the legends, it was done by the Cursed Species hundreds of years ago, but humans could quickly find a way to defeat them.

Amid adversity, it took humans several years to do research to rid the Cursed Species of human civilization.

This can be done after human research has found the weaknesses of the Cursed Species. In that study, humans learned that Cursed Species were difficult to reproduce, they could not tolerate sunlight, and they had a dependence on blood.

Even if they managed to find the Cursed Species' weaknesses, humans certainly wouldn't be able to get rid of them if humans just stood around without putting up a fight to defeat the Cursed Species.
