Chapitre 89: Idiot Innkeeper

The sharpened bone flew forward with the speed of an arrow, rocketing toward a shadowy figure dressed all in black.

With a snort, the figure's dagger flashed, deflecting the projectile. It burrowed into the wall beside them as the figure stepped forward.

"Big mistake," said the masked figure in a woman's voice.

She wore thick black clothes that hid her womanly figure and had a cloth mask covering her mouth and a hood over her head, leaving only bright green eyes visible. To her back, a flickering ball of fire hovered, producing the light that illuminated the room.

"Who are you?" Morne demanded, squaring his shoulders as he prepared to cast Bone Bullet again. "Why are you here?"

"You weren't supposed to be here," the woman replied, spinning her dagger around her gloved fingers. "This room was supposed to be empty. Be sure to thank that idiot innkeeper for your death."

"I have no quarrel with you," Morne warned, "but I'll kill you if need be."
