A little boy sat in the middle of the road, holding on to the bleeding woman lying in the cold.

The rain was pelting down on them heavily as though heaven was ready to mourn her death in a short while.

The woman looked at her child, with remorse in her eyes. Unlike the hazel orbs she possessed, the boy had a lighter shade of green. It almost looked like a snake's gaze.

She understood. Her death was not for naught. If she had found them earlier, maybe things would have ended differently.
