Chapitre 403: His Children

The day was cool and calm. Despite the storm going on with the residents, everything felt right outside. On this day, breakfast was an awkward affair for reasons unknown to them.

Mark found his family seated around the dining table when he came down. In an attempt to give his beloved space, he joined them, after instructing the chefs.

A buffet was displayed in the middle. Everyone served themselves. Jayden was in a gloomy mood. Arya seemed especially lethargic while Mark was absentminded.

Leonardo watched his children, his heart growing heavy by the second. The sinking feeling in his heart was too prominent, it threatened to make his eyes flood.

He swallowed the lump in his throat, his gaze drifting from one child to another. Finally, it settled on Mark, his middle child.

Now that he had all of his babies at the table, he missed his youngest too. He made a mental note to bring her back when his wife woke from her coma.
