Chapitre 18: Potter Library!

{09:36 AM, 6th June, 1988}
"...you look ridiculous Sirius" Lily shook her head, an amused smile on her face as she looked at Sirius prancing about in his knee-length ponytail.
"Don't care!" Sirius shouted back as he ran into the house to show everyone his new hairstyle. Rigel had to admit, the man could somehow pull off having a long ass ponytail.
'Well, I guess I got lucky in the genes department.'
Rigel had looked in the mirror more than a couple of times, he was a little on the thinner side, but at least he didn't have to lose weight when he began exercising. His hair and eyes were similar to Sirius, with his face being a little more angular, and his high cheekbones were hidden with a little bit of baby fat that was left on his face.
"Good morning Rigel, did you have a good rest," Lily greeted Rigel after showing his exasperation at Sirius.
"Good morning Lily." Rigel simply greeted and nodded, Lily nodded at him to go on. The dining room was a mess as always, with different personalities mixing with each other, the place would always be a mess Rigel reckoned.
He sat down next to Harry and looked at Sirius hopping around with Lily trying to grab him by his ponytail. "Nice engorgement Charm," Harry said as he turned to Rigel.
"Thanks... you tried that one before?" Rigel asked, he wasn't expecting Harry to know that spell, it was in their second year's textbook after all.
"It's a pranking spell, what do you think?" Harry gave him a raised eyebrow making Rigel crack a small smile.
"Your sense of theory regarding magic is a bit skewed," Rigel remarked as Lily started floating toast on everyone's plate.
"Yeah, well wel-" He paused as Lily yelled at everyone to sit down and eat, "Welcome to Potter Manor, you're gonna love it here." Harry flashed him a grin before Rose came barreling into the seat next to him and his attention shifted.
Yesterday during the picnic he had started to be on talking terms with at least everyone, so today's atmosphere was a lot warmer. Since Sirius and James had to go to the Auror department after breakfast and Lily had to also work in some department in the Ministry. Nymphadora Tonks would arrive to take over babysitting duties over the summer, apparently, it was her way of sucking up to James and Sirius so that they would allow her to take part in Auror training camp in a couple of years.
After everyone had a short breakfast, James and Sirius, who was still sporting the ridiculous hairstyle, waved at everyone and said goodbye. Lily still had half an hour till she had to leave, Rigel looked around as the kids started dispersing again. He was a little stuck on what to do when Lily motioned him to follow her.
The Potter Library was not massive, but there were a couple of thousand books in there, Harry and Rose were already there with Harry reading a book to Rose and entertaining her by shooting tiny sparks out of his wand.
"I know Sirius and even Harry and others won't understand your curiosity toward magic," Lily said with a small smile on her face, "When Prof. McGonagall first introduced me to the magical world, I spent the whole day in Flourish and Blotts looking at all the various books and reading about what magic can do... the Potter Library won't be the most expansive source of knowledge in London but I think you'll find everything you want in here." Lily motioned toward the closest shelf before she waved and went toward Harry and Rose.
Rigel looked around at the books all around him, he started reading the names of all the books just in the beginner section.
'A Beginners Guide to Potions, Basic Transfiguration, Charms and its Charms, What's a Bezoar?...'
He grabbed the fourth book and took a seat nearby, he opened the book and started reading. The book was on common poisons and harmful potions as he suspected, but it went in a completely different direction. The book contained recipes for most of the common poisons that could be cured by a Bezoar, along with the poison's actual antidote and a detailed list of symptoms that you should feel in a progressive manner when you are under the influence of one.
'This is not a bad read, the list of symptoms is probably the best part about it since you could simply take a bezoar and cure the poison.'
Rigel started reading from the start and slowly got immersed in the book, there were so many plants that he never had heard of before so he also pulled out a copy of One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi and started reading. After a couple of hours he felt someone standing close to him, he turned towards the shadow and then looked down, Rose was holding a saucer in her hands upon which there were a couple of scoops of what Rigel could only guess was ice cream.
Rigel gave her a smile and took the plate from her hands, she then hopped away with both her feet sticking to each other. Rigel hesitated but then decided to leave her be, he started eating as he focused back on the book, he was just halfway done but then he remembered that he needed to expend his mana for the regeneration to kick in.
'Shit I zoned out again, I wasted so much mana... well since my mana is full and I don't need to fully concentrate to use the levitation spell, I should just use it to see what future level-ups had in store for me.'
Rigel had decided that he would level up each spell to just level 3 for now, so instead of wasting time on all the spells more than necessary, he wanted to see what reward he would get for pushing a spell to complete mastery. Since the Levitation spell was the easiest to use and something he already knew he has been planning to level it up first.
He pulled out his wand and cast the levitation spell and pulled the book on Charms out of the shelf, he opened the spells screen and focused on the levitation spell, the experience at the end indicated 1/1000.
'This is going to take at least 2-3 days...'
He focused on the bezoar book once again while keeping the book levitating.

Rigel was broken out of his daze by a sudden notification, the charms book fell down as he looked at the notification as he jumped back in surprise.

It took a moment for Rigel to calm himself down, the sudden notification almost gave him a heart attack. He felt someone behind him so he looked up, pink hair framed her face as Rigel came face to face with Nymphadora.
