"You are late it seems , you just missed Grindelwald." Nick said tiredly causing Dumbledore to have a disoriented look. He came here thinking that he would be fighting Voldemort but instead all the enemies were gone and apparently Grindelwald was here for some weird reason. So it was quite understandable that he was rather lost at the moment. Nick wasted no time at all explaining what had happened in the brief period that they had been separated and even supplying Voldemorts wand as proof. "So it is truly over with then , I suppose a celebration is in order then. Just amongst those aware of his return though." Dumbledore said with a smile.-
"Before that though I could use a bit of help from Madam Pomphrey to fix my nerves , the evil bastard used the crutiatus curse on me and fried a few of them." Nick said while showing his twitchy and unsteady hands. As a craftsman Nick knew the importance of having steady hands and as a result wanted the damage fixed as soon as possible. Dumbledore nodded seriously and Fawkes teleported both of them back to Hogwarts through the special method only phoenixes could.-
Madam Pomphrey was horrified to learn that Nick had been subjected to the crutiatus and had him take four potions and stay the next three days in bed within the hospital wing. Meanwhile Dumbledore somehow managed to get Nick an order of Merlin third class medal for "Bravery and self sacrifice" that made the headlines since he was the youngest person to ever get a medal. The truth of the story was that he was already pretty close to earning a medal with his corporeal ghosts rings and this last incident with him giving himself up to save the hostages pushed him into truly earning it.-
Only the order of the phoenix members and a few others such as Harry and Nicks friends knew that Voldemort was truly gone though. Once Nick was released from the hospital wing and his nerves had been fully repaired and acclimated to his body he went to work immediately on creating a ring for Lucas that restored his magic to the way it was before he became a vampire as well as had a few extra perks attached. It was ironic to Nick that the book he had gotten so long ago from the system on Tamrielic vampires , immortal blood , was now very useful to him.-
See the book gave details on the abilities of several different clans of vampires from that world and after spending a few hundred system points he got some extra information as well that solidified the ring enchantment he was going to make in his mind. Obviously no assistant of his should be ordinary so Nick was going to boost Lucas's vampiric abilities to a frankly scary level. Cold manipulation from the volkihar clan , mist form from the Keerilth , sun resistance from Lamae Bal. These were the abilities he intended to put on the ring and thus he needed special preparations to get it done.-
Lucas was less than happy about needing to donate a few litters of blood each day until it equaled all the blood in his body. Nick used this blood to create a very specific type of blood silver that was tied to Lucas's magic deeply. Once he had enough of the metal Nick destroyed the remaining blood in disgust as just making this stuff was uncomfortably close to dark magic. Still next came the tricky part of the enchantment where he imbued the abilities of the enchantment.-
He needed to enlist Flitwicks help with this step as he needed to take a break for each of the abilities he added to the enchantment. Still the final result was a thing of beauty as it was a shiny dark red metal ring that looked like a bat flapping it's wings with the wings connected at the tips to make the band. The stats of the ring were really good too as the ring was mythical grade and hit all the points he was after.

Flitwick was surprised to learn that his old student Lucas had become a vampire during his travels and thanked Nick for taking him under his wing even if it was as a servant as he knew how badly vampires were treated normally.
