Chapter 37 A Small Battle In Knockturn Alley

Harry followed Draco, Martin, and the others into Knockturn Alley for some unknown reason. As they entered, the sky became dark. Though only a few walls separated them from the bustling scene of Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley looked somber. Several wizards on the road wore black robes, covering their faces, and walked hurriedly along the street, looking around from time to time. This strange sight frightened Harry a little.

"Draco, what is this place?" Harry asked.

Draco replied confidently, "You didn't know this, right? This is Knockturn Alley, a place where British dark wizards often come."

"What are dark wizards? Are wizards different too, like bad guys and good guys?" Harry asked, not having been taught the difference between dark wizards and others, making him an empty slate on this matter.

Martin interrupted, "Harry, wizards should never be distinguished purely on the basis of good or bad. Do you know the three unforgivable curses? The Ministry of Magic prohibits wizards from using these spells." He suddenly realized Harry was like a child who didn't understand anything. In the wizarding world, children are usually taught these truths by their families. But given Harry's upbringing in the Muggle world, Martin understood why he was uninformed.

Harry asked, "Then why do we call them dark wizards?" still trying to understand.

"That's because they use black magic to hurt others. In fact, most wizards know black magic. Even spells banned by the Ministry of Magic are used by many people in private," Martin explained.

Draco added, "Just like Dumbledore, he is also a master of dark magic. The only difference is that Principal Dumbledore will not use dark magic to harm innocent people."

Draco then told Harry that dark wizards had been kidnapping young wizards for experiments, and many young wizards had done something wrong. Harry was a little scared. He didn't expect that the wizarding world could be so terrifying. The Dursleys once told him that there would be traffickers who would steal children. He never imagined that the wizarding world would have similar dangers.

"Okay, don't be afraid. They don't dare to attack us. Besides, we can protect ourselves in the future if we learn the spells," Draco said, noticing Harry's scared expression and feeling a sense of superiority.

Several children suddenly appeared in Knockturn Alley, quickly attracting attention. Many wizards coming and going eyed them greedily. Harry saw an old witch with white hair smiling at him and was so scared that he hid behind Martin. He hid behind Martin instead of Draco because, despite Draco's constant self-praise, Harry felt Martin was more reliable.

A few people had ill intentions towards the children, but most avoided looking at Martin and hurried away. It was suspicious for several children to be in Knockturn Alley, especially since many knew Martin. No one dared to mess with the young master of the Black family in Knockturn Alley. But some were still short-sighted. At that moment, an adult wizard in tattered robes staggered over, looking unkempt, like a wizard who had been wandering for a long time.

"Children, are you lost and can't find your mother?" he said with a gloomy, hoarse voice that startled Draco. Feeling embarrassed in front of his new friend, Draco quickly took out his wand and pointed it at the man.

"Stay away from us, you filthy thing."

"Hahaha, that's interesting. Children, do you want to go to a nice place with me?" The adult wizard laughed, not thinking that the young wizard could pose any threat to him and rubbed his hands together excitedly. He didn't notice the dead wizard's expression in the distance. At this point, he was still immersed in thoughts of what to do with these children, maybe they could even sell for a lot of gold galleons.

Martin noticed the movement of wizards in the distance and wrote a code word on his hand, telling the Black family wizards not to take action for the time being, as they could handle it themselves. Several children of the Black family communicated with their eyes.

Jerome conveyed, "Brother, please deal with it quickly, it's really troublesome."

Ben added, "Brother, leave it to me. The spell I newly learned is very powerful."

Darlene thought, "Boring, I should have gone shopping with my mother for a nice dress."

Alice pondered, "Big Brother, Brother, can I have a new toy?"

Martin shook his head helplessly. His younger siblings were lively, but it made him, the eldest brother, worried. Especially Alice, once such a lovely sister, had now become quite independent.

Martin advised, "Don't mess around, leave it to me."

In the disappointed eyes of Ben and Alice, Martin turned his attention to Draco's performance. "Be presumptuous, let me teach you an unforgettable lesson, Devil Flame." Draco shouted, waving his wand. A black flame emerged from the tip and rose with the wind, shooting straight out.

"Armor protection." The adult wizard was not useless. He blocked Draco's attack with just one spell without even a ripple. "Hahaha, not bad, not bad, very talented, good material." Draco released his strongest spell so far. With little magic left in him, it didn't seem to cause any harm, leaving him flustered and embarrassed.

"Tangled with thorns." A large pile of thorns suddenly appeared on the ground and headed towards Draco. The adult wizard knew how to deal with it quickly; attracting other people's attention would be troublesome. Seeing Draco with nowhere to dodge, he still stood in front of Harry without flinching. The honor of the Malfoy family did not allow such a cowardly move.

"The flames are blazing." Martin's voice came, burning the thorns halfway. The heat hitting Draco and Harry's faces left them looking on in shock. "Brother, leave it to me, the Scythe of Shadow~" Ben jumped out, magic power pouring into the wand. A black crescent moon formed in front of him, flying forward.

The crescent moon's wind intimidated the adult wizard. He couldn't imagine a young wizard releasing such a powerful spell. The adult wizard rolled to the side and emitted a black magic, but Jerome threw a badge to block it. This was Auror equipment, with its own armor protection charm, and was standard equipment of John's team.

"Idiot class, Snake of Shadows." With an innocent smile, Alice took out her wand. A black snake appeared next to the wizard, its two-meter-long body wrapping around his legs. Ben said nothing and controlled the crescent moon to turn, directly cutting off the wizard's head. In just ten seconds, the battle was over, leaving only Draco and Harry standing there blankly, looking at the scene before them.
