Chapitre 1: Reincarnation?
"Mike, let's break up." A girl in her late teens said, her brows were furrowed as she pursed her lips, seemingly having difficulty expressing her thoughts.
"W-What? W-Why?" A young man in his early 20s said. His voice trembled, and his mind raced to pacify his girlfriend and mend their relationship.
*SIGH*
The girl sighed, expecting this reaction. "I am sorry, Mike. But I don't think it can work out between us."
"But we were happy together." Mike pleaded.
"No, Mike." The girl replied while shaking her head. "You were the only one who was happy, not me." She said dropping a bomb on him and walked out of the damp bedroom.
Mike stood like a statue; he did not chase the girl. He slowly walked towards the bed and fell on it.
Mike stared at the ceiling, his deep black eyes swirling around like an abyss.
'What did I do wrong?' He pondered. His mind went into overdrive as he recalled his entire relationship with the girl.
Just when Mike was about to fall into depression, his phone rang.
*TRING TRING*
Mike turned to his side and grabbed the phone. 'Adam?'
It was Adam, Mike's childhood friend. *SIGH* Mike sighed in exhaustion and picked up the phone.
"Hello, Adam."
"Mike! How are you, man? It's been a long time since we met. Wanna catch up?" Adam asked, eager to meet Mike.
'Ugh! I don't wanna go.' He grumbled. But he shook his head and mumbled, "This might be a good distraction."
"Sure, I will come."
"Great! Then we will meet at the cafe at the mall." Adam said and cut off the call.
*SIGH*
Mike sighed once again and lazily got up from the bed and wore a sweatshirt. He grabbed his phone and looked at himself in the mirror.
"Not bad." Mike commented as he combed his black hair with his fingers. He put on his headphones and walked out of his apartment.
...….
"HAHAHAHA!" A man laughed as he kicked the accelerator. He turned the steering wheel, turned the truck to the left, looked out the window, and yelled, "HAHAHAHA, Catch me!"
Behind him were a dozen police cars, chasing him. "Mr. Alex. Please stop the truck!" A voice came from the speaker.
"Ugh! I should arrest the guy who let this maniac escape." A policeman grumbled.
The driver in the truck was a psycho who suffered from mental problems. He escaped from the hospital, stole a delivery truck, and was causing mayhem in the city.
"HAHAHAHA!" the psycho laughed maniacally. He looked at the guy who was crossing the road. The guy had his head down and was listening to something on his phone.
"Hehehee" The psycho sinisterly as he gunned towards the man crossing the road.

Mike was crossing the road with his head down. He was listening to a motivational speech about breaking up.
'Alright, I will focus on myself more, and then I will think about women later.' Mike resolved as he clenched his fists in determination.
"HEY! GET OFF THE ROAD!" People yelled at Mike, who was now the only one on the road. But he didn't hear them.
"HAHAHAHA" The psycho laughed as he reached Mike.
Mike, feeling something approaching, looked toward his side. His eyes widened in terror as the truck hit him.
*BANG*
Mike flew like a broken kite, hit a building to the side, and fell on the pavement with a *THUD*.
*GASP*
The people around him gasped in shock while watching his life fade away.
"Quickly! Call an ambulance!" A person yelled in the crowd.
"HAHAHAHAHA!" The psycho laughed as he drove through the city. He was ecstatic that he killed a person.
'Ah! Is this how this ends?' Mike lamented. 'I wanted to change my life and focus on myself before I found the right one...'
'If only I had a second chance…'

'Hmm, what's going on? Haven't I died? What are these noises?' Mike hurled a series of questions at himself.
He tried to feel the darkness around him, but suddenly a warm liquid was pouring into his mouth.
'Wait, mouth?'
Mike opened his eyes but shut them immediately. 'AH! Too bright, too bright!'
'I should open them slowly.' He thought while opening his eyes slowly.
'Woah!' He exclaimed as he stared at the beauty in front of him.
'Never in my life would I have thought I would see a woman as beautiful as her!' He was gobsmacked by the woman's beauty. The woman had long, wavy auburn hair, emerald green eyes that shone like jewels, and a beautiful face devoid of any blemishes, one that would make anyone and everyone kill each other to just have a look at.
Mike stared at the woman, who, in turn, stared back at him lovingly.
'Wait, why is she looking at me like that?' Mike wondered. Puzzled by the woman's loving gaze.
"@#%&" The woman muttered.
'What is she saying? Before that, why is she so huge!?'.
'Wait, am I the small one?' When that question came into Mike's mind, It hit him. It hit him like a truck.
'Did I get reincarnated?' Mike thought as his little baby eyes widened in shock.

"Congratulations, madam," a maid standing beside Marigold said.
Marigold, the woman with wavy auburn hair and emerald green eyes, looking at the maid, smiled as she replied, "Thank you."
She then turned towards her newborn son, who was staring at her with his little blue eyes.
*BANG*
Just then, a man entered the room, and he walked towards Marigold in big strides.
Marigold looked at her husband, Edmund von Corstein. She watched as his tall, muscular, and imposing figure reached her and stared at her son.
"Hmm," Edmund hummed. His voice is deep, oozing power. Marigold gulped her saliva as she stared at her husband, wondering if he would accept her son.
Edmund nodded his head and muttered, "Good. His name will be Lucien Von Corstein." With that, he left the room.
*BANG*
*SIGH*
Marigold and the maid beside her sighed in relief after Edmund left. She then looked toward her son and called out his name.
"Lucien"
