Daphne thought that something was going to change when she had the opportunity to meet Kian at his house as planned. They could talk freely without him having the fear that someone was listening to them. What Daphne didn't expect was how free Kian was going to be. After everything he said to her, it was obvious that Daphne had been wrong to have thought about him being the one who could set her free from Noah.
'why am I even here?' Daphne thought in anger, her hand clenched her purse, tightly to her side. Getting Kian to surrender his life for her wasn't just impossible, but there was an obstacle in the way. Obstacles were in Kian life because his life didn't amount to anything.
With a heavy sigh, Daphne stood up with her purse, ready to leave Kian's house.
"What are you doing?" Kian asked, even though he could already tell.
"Isn't obvious? I'm leaving. I get it, there's nothing you can do for me."
