Some assumed he was a former soldier others suggested he was a member of the court. Kin and Gold even suggested that he may have been a scholar. But all the hypotheses were ruled out because of the ghost's clothes. Even though he was half transparent, Leit and Nyx ensured that he did not wear a white cloak like the monastery guards. His boots were black too.

"We should take a look in the archives," Lou suggested one afternoon, a cup of tea in hand.

"They're guarded," Toxin recalled with a hint of annoyance. "How can you attract a ghost?"

"Archives."

"Oh yeah? And what do we do, read files until he appears when we find his case? "

"Why not?"

"The Archives building is huge! Hundreds of thousands of files! "
