Synopsis
The white lotus, a legendary artifact rumored to contain the very secrets of the soul, granted its wielder otherworldly power. Countless powerful Magi from all across the universe waged an epic battle over it.

Adam dreamed of breaking free from the grip of poverty, yearning for a life of riches and comfort. Yet, in a world ruled by arcane spellcasters, achieving such a dream meant becoming one himself.
However, learning magic was an expensive aspiration. Not only did it require talent, but also vast resources, neither of which he had.
But one day everything changed when he stumbled upon a mysterious white lotus...

Écrire un avisGenuinly such a joy to read. Super well worded. The characters are impossible not to love and are funny! The world is a mixture of Harry Potter and elements of Murim. The MC also doesn't just get an instant buff to become OP, but is granted a path towards it that requires hard work. The best part for me is how each character has a good deal of depth to them that slowly gets unveiled. Everything also feels so natural (with exception to the main advantage the MC has which is the premise of the book). Overall top notch book. Also, MC has👇🏼*this* personality, which I like.
My first review ever on this app, writing in at ~300 chapters. I'm in love. Absolutely hands down one of the best I've read here. Excellent writing quality, with only very minor spelling mistakes that happen very rarely. Solid flow throughout. The pacing is excellent as it doesn't get caught up in the minutia yet still allows for character growth and time skips in a way that doesn't feel forced or ex-machina'd. I've seen some comparisons to HP, and honestly, apart from the "there is magic present," "the three leads are two kinda 'f*ck-up' men and an overly studious woman," and "the first major arc takes place in an academy" tropes, they really aren't similar at all. The characters are lovable and deep, even if they might not seem like it at first. There's foreshadowing and just the right amount of exposition as to why things are the way they are. There's tons of subtle nods to D&D without explicitly copying anything from it whatsoever. Incredible world building and power structure. I highly, highly recommend this for anyone who likes stories about magic users. I look forward to every chapter and seeing where the White Lotus takes Adam in the future. (Also, the author has a great sense of humor and is fairly active in the comments.)
Spoiler de révélationGood updating quality and writing quality. Story has an overflow where you can follow to a good degree. That being said some major cons are as follows. Authors lack of commenting back to multiple criticisms during the novel. Second would be the Mc personality shift. Goes from hardworking to goofing off. He is initially shown as hardworking and serious but now he acts like a total clown. Too much forced humor that ruined a lot of the novel. Mc also seems to be pushing more towards a hero/shonen type. Mc also makes numerous idiotic mistakes such as not even checking the market price before selling something. Keeps making dumb mistakes constantly and under utilizing the lotus. Had so much potiental but left with so much frustration.
Spoiler de révélationHow the fk is Mc 15 and every other side character they literally act like 10-13 years old at most. And than there is the Fact that Mc turns put to be a Beta Simp at chapter 20 something that was so put if nowhere just because he has seen 1 goodlooking girl.
Amazing work. The writing quality is well above excellent, not too repetitive to feel boring and not too "purple-prose" to make the readers lose interest either. The story development is good, with the pace being a mix of slow and fast depending where it needs to be.The mc is intriguing and has a lot of potential. His motivations are simple and plain yet - to become a Magus. I wonder what it'll become when he achieves his current goal. The world, to be honest, is the one thing that has interested me the most. It's vast and full of all kinds of possibilities, and I can see that the author has a vision in its creation.A 5/5 start from me.
On this whole platform this thing second only to Shadow Slave. It's a shame if people miss out on this. Get it to the top my friends! Great characters, worldbuilding, comedy, whatever you want. It has it!
Great plot, explores a lesser used concept of magus that often is taken by just mages or cultivators which is nice and the stories is great sets up good background and world building and were and how powerful the character the character is and and isn't currently! Great Potential that keeps getting more and more drawn out and excited too see more of it!
As of ch. 37 the Mc is a wuss, clown and an idiot of highest order. Nothing special about him even with the powerful cheat he has in the form of white lotus which captured the souls of 4000+ magus and the clown has absorbed some of them yet still has the intelligence of a rock.. Tho this statement is a bit unfair to the rock.
Author has confirmed that there will NOT be Romance or Harem. So if that's not worth 5 Stars idk what is. Can't think of an actual review atm, so I'll just update it when this has more chapters.
I’ll be cheering you on for your WSA entry, as I can see the potential in this lore. The prologue provides a clear direction and a fine briefing on what to expect from the ‘peak’ experts of this world. The words are easy to interpret, concise, and help the readers to grasp the settings of each scene without having to think too much. The information feedback is just as smooth with little fillers, especially when the characters are mentioned with little snippets of their past, present, and their expectations for the future. This is slowly building a web of information and connections, but if one isn’t careful enough and is simply reading for the sake of skimming through, it’s easy to be lost in the storytelling down the line.
even though the MC has everything needed ... keep doing unnecessary things ... doesn't learn from his mistakes ...the author keeps forcing plots ... idk why... maybe for more words? or just has no clear plane for the novel... anyway keep the hard work Author ... am sure you will do better in the future...
novel is good but it can be more better author has habit of streching arcs like MC should kill kevin thoroughly and later that goro orc if he didn't played with them he should able to kill him, this same fight gonna repeat in future
Spoiler de révélationThe first few chapters are basically warlock of the magus world, just different names, but later on, after about chapter 20, the plot is starting to go down a completelydifferent path of magic. The book has potential, and I recommend reading at least the first 40 chapters of the book.
While I might not have officially started the first chapter of this book yet, I have been there in the previous versions of it, and I can tell you for a fact that this author has amazing writing quality and the story is great and flows smoothly, and as far as I can remember there aren’t major info dumps every other chapter Side note: author, if you ever want to delete this book again, can you please post a chapter saying why, cause I was so confused the last time you deleted it and had to stalk your account to find this Also
I feel a bit scammed I really enjoy the book so l decided to splurge a bit a buy privilege to read ahead. But then you have only posted like 3-4 chapters. I understand that as an author you might be busy or burnt out but then at least please tell your readers your that your taking a break, that way I know to wait to buy privilege until your back to writing. Author I really love this book but can you please at least tell us why or for how long you'll be busy. As a reader (and I think I speak for many) it's much easier to wait if we know at least why or to approximately how long. (Thank you for listening to my TedTalk.) (Also posted this exact post in a chapter’s comments but I thought I am more likely to get a response here.)
I read up to around chapter 156, and honestly, I had to drop it because of the direction the novel was taking. Besides copying parts from other novels out there, what really bothered me was that the author forced the plot too much. For example, the author did everything to ensure Kevin, who is the villain of the novel, survived when the MC tried to kill him (and the MC was very capable of killing Kevin) since he fought more than 20 people at the same time, and only Kevin comes out alive??? And not only does he come out alive, he discovers one of the MC’s extremely important secrets, and if he spreads this secret, it’s goodbye to the MC. So, for this and other similar reasons, I dropped the novel. Of course, there are good things in the novel too. The author did a good job creating the supporting characters and the main ones; I have no complaints in that regard. The personalities of each one are very good, and the MC also has a cool personality. Rating: 7.0.

A high fantasy novel that follows the journey of Adam, a naive little kid of humble beginnings, who stumbles upon a heaven-defying treasure that sets him down the path that most Magi could only dream of yet never hope to achieve. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comment section. And thanks for giving this book a shot. I appreciate it!
