‚Another day, another summoning!' Ezequiel thought as he descended into the lower dimension right after waking up.
It has now been 5 days since his Angels defeated the nearby goblin kingdom. Since then not much has happened. Aside from sometimes controlling the borders up to the closest city, they never killed a goblin. Except for spies who tried to infiltrate. After all having a large territory is not much use when fighting a war. Especially since their number is very small. They simply can't defend any other land aside from the one they already own.
For that reason they simply focus on cultivating. After all they don't gain much from slaughtering defenseless goblins without any real strength.
As Ezequiel started his summoning for today, he suddenly noticed something. The light seemed to be glowing much brighter than usual. The intensity of the light was way higher than before and would even burn the eyes of any mortal staring directly into it. As the nearby Angels noticed this phenomenon, they drew nearer and actually started bowing. Almost as if they were facing a superior.
‚Whats going on now? Another special Angel maybe? But they have never caused the light to shine brighter and even then, the other Angels wouldn't act so subservient towards just another special Angel.'
As the light, which lasted much longer than usual, almost 20 seconds, faded away, the reason for the intensive shine was revealed.
Aside from the 4 normal looking Angels on the platform, there was another female Angel. But she looked much different from the normal Angels. She looked less human-like. The aura she gave off was also more divine and stronger than usual.
Her wings were even more perfect than those of the normal Angels and slightly bigger. What made her seem less human-like though was the pair of additional eyes below her two normal ones as well as the fact that she was missing a mouth.
‚Well, that's kind of weird, but she doesn't seem to be a special Angel, so what exactly is she?'

‚Oh, I remember now, the guide mentioned that there are different levels to Angels. But how was I able to summon her already?'
Normally someone with a low or mid level species would first have to develop theirself to the peak of what their species allowed for. Afterwards there were some strict requirements on how they could summon higher level members of their species.
Someone who summoned humans as their initial species would have to first dominate an entire world. They would then have to capture a thousand winged humans for example, who were about as strong as a mid level species, and sacrifice them to the summoning platform. They would then be able to summon winged humans with a slight success rate in the future.
High and Peak level races wouldn't have to go through that process. Some of the higher level members of their species were so rare to find that it might just be impossible to ever upgrade naturally. This meant that just like Ezequiel they could summon higher quality believers from the beginning, the probability was just extremely small.
‚How did I summon a special believer so early on then?' Ezequiel was kind of embarrassed because he had to ask his believers questions so often. For that reason he simply chose to read the mind of the newly summoned Angel. And as it turns out that was a smart move.
The reason for the early summoning was that Ezequiel was guaranteed to summon an Archangel for every 100 normal Angels he summoned. Not only that, he would gain a Principality, the level above Archangel, for every 10.000 normal Angels.
Additionally the memories also contained the power structure of the Angel race. The bloodline level of Angels were divided into 3 orders, each order containing 3 different Angel types.
The weakest type in every order were always foot soldiers and responsible for menial tasks. The second strongest Angel in each order would then be like a general, commanding a hundred lower level Angels on the battlefield and managing the territory of the god.
The strongest Angels meanwhile were somewhat like the bosses of each order. They made plans, were responsible for every Angel below them and usually had some additional strong abilities.
From weakest to strongest Angel there were normal Angel, Archangels, Principalities, Powers, Virtues, Dominions, Thrones, Cherubim and lastly Seraphim.
If Ezequiel had a physical body at the moment, it would hold a big, fat grin. If his normal Angels were already this strong, then how strong would a Cherubim, or even Seraphim be? Ezequiel couldn't imagine their abilities and was overjoyed.
‚Yet another reason why Angels are the best. Whilst other gods need to rely on chance when summoning higher quality members of their species, I already have a fixed cycle.'
Ezequiel was happy with this mechanism, since he felt like his luck was bad in his past. Being an orphan and having a shitty life, he would probably have misfortune when summoning high level Angels as well. Conveniently Ezequiel forgot how he got the strongest species in the entire existence as his believers.
‚That wasn't luck, no, it was pure skill!'
‚Oh, let me also check out that new special Ability. I hope it's something great.'
[Spread faith together]
[Praying and spreading the faith of Lord is even better and more effective when doing it in a group. Archangels are responsible for the Angels below them and making the most of their power and prayers.]
[Effects:
- increased talent in warfare and deploying troops
- subordinate Angels will instinctively listen to the commands of Archangels on the battlefield without any delay
- When commanding subordinate troops, their effectiveness and combined battle power increases by 10-50% depending on experience of the Archangel
- Can channel subordinate Angels energy in a formation to increase combat power by a large amount for a short time]
‚Another overpowered talent. How could I have ever expected something else from this overpowered species.'
‚This will be extremely useful in the upcoming battle. With this our fighting effectiveness will increase by a large amount.'
Meanwhile even the Angels that were just summoned bowed towards the Archangel. After a few moments Ezequiel signaled for the normal Angels to continue with their task and told the Archangel about the future developement plans. With this he would finally have an Angel that could oversee the process in his stead. It would take an additional worry off his mind.
