Synopsis
As the granddaughter of the wealthiest magnate in San Heith, Cynthia Shannon had been in a relationship with Joe Louise for three years, only to find her sincere affections spurned and left in the dust.
Joe regarded her as a simple rural woman, and on their wedding day, he abandoned her to pursue another dazzling beauty, leaving Cynthia heartbroken. But once she decisively ended the relationship, she reclaimed her status as a wealthy heiress, inheriting a fortune worth billions. Her life then ascended to its pinnacle, yet there were always scoundrels who emerged to vex her.
Amidst Cynthia's efforts to deal with these scoundrels, a certain Mr. Ford, known for inspiring dread in anyone who heard his name, stood by, applauding her with admiration. "My formidable wife," Mr. Ford praised.
Cynthia Shannon replied, "Please mind your choice of words."
Mr. Ford half-closed his eyes, leaning elegantly against the bed, his movements bewitching. "With this token as evidence, do you still want to deny our bond?"

Overall, the writing is solid. My issue is the unnecessary dragging of the most:the fl’s identity as an heiress of the wealthiest family. I read up until the 600th chapter, and the weak villains still exist. What’s the point of having money, power, and influence when she allows the roaches (a family that doesn’t even rank on the third tier, according to the novel) to continue with their low-level schemes?
