Somebody with ill intentions might trace it back to the nest of the federation.

However, the coordinates of the federation were no longer a secret.

After all, before the Black Wind Fleet attacked the federation, they had been in close contact with the imperium. Even if they did not send all the coordinates, half of the parameters had been sent.
