Impatiently waiting at the coven library, I paced up and down wondering how soon Tristan would sneak my mate into the coven from the enchanted forest. When he sent me an urgent message, I panicked since he did not delve much into what the issue was.

My beast was impatient since it had been a few days since I fed but this was not an urgent matter for me. I was worried something bad had transpired to push my mate to come to the vampire coven.

Immediately he walked into the library, and I moved with speed and landed in front of him. Tristan smirked while Seth, who had accompanied him, sighed.

“It’s not safe to have a discussion here. Let’s move to the back of the coven.” Tristan and Seth went ahead while we continued to stand staring at each other. Alpha Lycus was the first to move and he embraced me in a warm hug that made my body tremble.
