Chapitre 48: The Second stopover
Leah and Jack could laugh and chat together along the whole way. The two of them looked getting closer.
"I'm thankful that the weather was good and our journey was smooth. Will we soon arrive at the portal? "Leah asked between nervous and impatient.
"Not yet Leah. But soon we'll arrive at an interesting place. Soon, if I maximize the speed of this car," Jack replied enigmatically.
Max raised speed, causing Leah to sway a little and cling onto her tightly.

"I just said, the weather was friendly. It's raining!" She grunted with a funny face.
"Hahaha .. maybe, the weather doesn't want to be your best friend!" Jack scoffed.
"How about this?" This Jeep was an open car without a roof, it was certainly, He didn't like water, his neat and elegant appearance will be tarnished.
"We'd better stop and find shelter. But as far as I can see it's just barren land with cacti, it's all! "Leah turned around, the whole trip was like being in a hot and barren foreign land.
"You're right! Tsk. I shouldn't have brought a Jeep, but this car was wild and strong!" Jack regretted his choice.

The rain was getting heavier. Jack sped the car faster until he entered a resident's plantation, there is a wooden house in the middle of this farmland. Farmland has been neglected and there are farms too.
He took the parking lot and grabbed Leah's bag. Embracing Leah's shoulder, took the girl into his arms and ran under the pouring rain!
"Very good! We're soaking wet now!" Complained Jack tossed his wet black hair.
"Hey! Be careful with your hair splash!" Leah wrung out her long hair. The flick of Jack's hair made her eyes squint.
Jack turned his head he saw Leah who was drenched, he laughed.
"Hahaha .. what was this! You look like a puppy that got drenched in!"
"Damn you!" Leah sneered.
Jack helped Leah wring out her long hair. The man did not hesitate to touch the long hair, he also helped squeeze the hems of Leah's clothes. Are they this close?
The wind was blowing hard, making Leah hug her body. Jack could see the girl beside him was holding back the cold and started shivering.
"Is anyone in there? I feel my body freeze!" Leah muttered with her pinkish lips trembling.
Jack could see Lia's lips trembling. The man knocked on the wide wooden door not far from their shelter.
"Spada !! Anybody here?"
"What the heck! "Protested Lia. She asked Jack to shut up. Let her call the household.
"You have to be polite when visiting other people's homes. look at my way! "Leah's request pointed to herself." Excuse me .. is anyone in there? Excuse me.."
No one answered. Until the two of them called the owner of the house several times. Only the sound of bleating goats and cows could be heard, there was also the sound of horses back there.
"Isn't there anyone, on this vast land?" Leah couldn't believe it. This house feels so quiet.
"I don't know, miss. You're asking the wrong person! I came with you, I'm not the owner of this farm." Jack answered with an annoying face.

In contrast then him, Leah walked with a smile on her lips. She took a broom, brushed the dust off the floor. She shook off the cave cushions that were the back of the wooden chair.
"Not at the George's Inn, not in this farmhouse. Everything looks dirty and gross!" Jack hissed, he had no intention of leaning his body in this house or just taking a seat to rest after driving the car for a long trip.
"I hope the rain stops soon and we can get out of--"
"What's this?" Jack's complaint line was interrupted by Leah's voice.
Jack turned to look at Leah who looked surprised.
The man knit his brows.
