Out of curiosity, he asked, "How did Erastus get so close with her?"

"I don't know. Loraine is not someone with innocent intentions. I'm just worried that Erastus would be manipulated by her," Caroline responded.

He thought for a moment and said, "Don't worry about this. I will make some arrangements so that they wouldn't be together all the time. Erastus is still young and immature so he needs proper guidance in life."

"Sure, I trust you. It's not appropriate for me to get involved in this since Erastus is against me. You are his brother, and I believe the brotherhood you share plays a crucial role in this," she replied.

He planted a tender kiss on her forehead and said, "We're family no matter what. Honey, don't think so lowly about yourself."
