Chapitre 10: Chapter 10: Departure

Fiona's mind was not really on Smith today. The morning was pleasant, peaceful and calm.

"a fresh cup of coffee can do so much for the day" said Fiona to herself. It is now a daily ritual that she wakes up and talk to her self in a voice that is hearable. Fiona went to check on Mr. Peterson first, "Mr. Peterson, I am making coffee; would you like to have some?" asked Fiona. He was sitting near the fire place, grasping his book but he was very stiff; not moving not saying a word. Fiona came again "Mr. Peterson?"

He wasn't moving and not even blinking his eyes. The pale green eyes wide opened were looking at the window. Fiona touched his hand and the book fell down. "Oh my God, Mr Peterson what happened to you, wake up sir please." Fiona raged and ranted in a way that its the end of the world but there was nothing that can change it. The soul has departed. The body is left behind, flat and cold. Mr. Peterson has died this morning. its all ended for him. The sorrow, the grief everything. Fiona left him there, and goes out to the church to call the priest and people for help. As she was walking, her tears were rolling down from her eyes and cold was turning them into tiny droplets of ice over her pale cheeks. "There is a end to everyone and everything in this world but in the end nobody count the years of the life but the life in the years will always be counted. I will miss you Mr. Peterson." said Fiona to her self.

After reaching there, she told it all to Mr. Amos, the father of the church. "May God bless the departed soul" said Mr. Amos. "Please take me to him." said Mr. Amos again. "Yes, Please come with me but we do need a coffin, How am I going to arrange it all." Fiona was talking in great nervousness. "Relax, my child please. I will manage it all." replied Mr. Amos.

So many people came on his funeral, as the news go out. There was a huge crowd around Mr. Peterson's house but her heart was just deprived.

"Its the time to bury the body" said Mr. Amos. and the body was buried under the layers of cold mud. Fiona was standing, looking there; only as she turned the corner, she heard a fade voice saying clearly "I am always with you." It was Smith's. She replied, "I know, but in my imaginations."
