Marion blinked as the sunlight burst from the crack of the curtain and beamed directly into her eyes. His hand fingered the side of the bed that had been cold. Maybe William had prepared to go to the office and deliberately didn't wake him up because he couldn't bear it.
It was always the reason he said whenever Marion protested against her attitude of going to the office without saying goodbye to her.
And today, what else? Has it now become his hobby to leave Marion in a deep sleep?
Marion walked out of the room, intending to grab a drink or enjoy breakfast that was usually prepared by the housekeeper or William himself. And found the man still struggling in the kitchen to the point of being unaware of Marion's presence.
"You're still here? Didn't go to the office?" asked Marion, which made William twist his body then squeeze a smile when he knew who was greeting him.
