Chapitre 9: Serene city, Spatial boundary part - 3
Old Edward looked at the young man who only appeared to be 17 or 18 years old. 'Did I hear that right? What did her highness say? If I am right her highness was stranded in the devil mist forest. This..... I must have heard it wrong'
Seeing the doubtful look on Edward's face Carsina repeated her words again, "Sir Zane was the one who saved me when I was in the devil mist forest. He is very strong. If you don't believe it you can go ahead and spar with him"
"Is that alright with you Sir Zane?"
Zane looked at the girl shifting all the attention to him so that she can slip away during the spar, he smirked
"If her highness wishes I will be sure to entertain you for a bit Mr. Edward. That is of course if her highness witnesses it herself"
"Tch"
Carsina clicked her tongue on being found out by Zane.
Edward looked at their familiar exchange and furrowed his brows secretly with his head down.
'His majesty has already been tearing the palace down, if he sees this there will definitely be chaos.'
He stood up and said, "Then I shall take up on that young man. Follow me."
Zane and Carsina followed after Edward as he walked towards the backyard. He looked sideying Zane only to discover that Zane was yawning lazily. He became slightly angry.
'Might as well teach the young man a lesson'
Zane clearly noticed his gaze but ignored it as he thought of just how many decimal points of strength he should use to just pepper old Edward up.
If Edward knew what Zane was thinking then he will surely puke blood.
They arrived at a wide backyard with much space, there was a weapon rack next to the wall of the yard, which clearly showed that the place has been used for training.
Edward pointed towards the rack,"Young master may choose any of these weapons"
Zane shrugged his shoulders,
"It's alright. Don't need them"
Seeing Zane was being careless, he shook his head slightly with a disapproving look mistaking his absolute confidence.
Carsina looked at him and said, "He won't die right?"
Edward turned towards her and smiled slightly,
"Don't worry your highness, I will make sure not to hurt him badly."
To which Zane scoffed, "She wasn't talking to you."
Edward's eyes burned with anger as he took position to start the fight.
Carsina stepped back not to interrupt their fight. Zane stood as he had been when he first came here.
"Wath out, young master." Edward said as he charged in at full speed and tried to punch Zane in the gut. He didn't hold back as he wanted Zane to know the power difference between them. But he found it absurd that Zane didn't even move half an inch when he closed in.
'Princess did say that he was a good fighter but...did I overestimate him. Then this punch will definitely make him cry.'
Just as he thought this, his blow landed. Much to his surprise even after his punch landed there was no reaction from him, he felt like he hit an adamantium plate. He backed away with his mouth agape. Even though that was not a full powered blow that was atleast 80% of his power, even if the person was uninjured he should have atleast backed up a bit. Even a 9th class will not remain without any harm if he was hit with the strike while he was defenseless.
Zane dusted the spot he was hit at, without any emotion he said, "Did you tickle? Should I make the move now?"
"J-Just w-what are you?"
Edward looked at Carsina for answer. Carsina smiled for the first time and said, "See! I said Sir Zane is strong."
"Yes, your highness." He said as he turned towards Zane as he said, "It was my fault I doubted you, young master Zane, I admit my defeat"
"Please punish this servant for doubting you your highness." He kneeled facing Carsina.
"It's alright. Please arrange the things I asked you as soon as possible, we don't have much time." Carsina said in a serious tone.
"It shall be done as soon as possible. Please stay at this humble place for a while before we arrange the accommodation, your highness." With that he saluted and left.
Carsina smiled and jumped at Zane who was yawning again.
"Sir Zane, are you that bored? Why don't you come with me to the palace. There are fun things in the palace, I am sure you will enjoy it.
"Is that why you are here princess? Away from home and the FUN THINGS." Zane said with a smile and he especially emphasized the words 'fun things'.
Carsina was dazed for while after seeing him smile, when she realized shwas being mocked she harrumphed, only to realize Zane was already walking towards the cabin.
"Wait up." Carsina followed after him.
***IN THE DEVIL MIST FOREST***
A white cloaked figure was rushing through the forest towards the core region of the forest. It stopped at an empty space. The figure appeared to be a woman. She muttered a few words as a small magic circle appeared infront of the her mouth. "Spatial boundary. OPEN"
*Creak*
A door appeared and the figure entered after checking if anyone was near.
She entered a desolate and old room with books thrown here and there papers lying across the room with magic formula in them. The old lady removed her hood.
If Zane was here he would surely recognize the old lady as the master he accepted earlier.
The room appeared to be quite big but it was dusty. She waved her hand and the dust gathered up before flying away through the window. She approached the bed at the corner where a person seemed to be sleeping soundly.
Her skin appeared to be sickly pale but overall she appeared to be a top class beauty having charm points that neared even Zane's who had an literally otherworldly appearance.
"Oh Violet! How many times have I told you not to exhaust your self."
Madam Martha came near her and sat down at stool near her bed she patted her head gently as she said,
"You have to take good care of yourself."
The lady in bed opened her eyes weakly before she muttered, "Any.....luck in.....finding...an heir."
"Yes, a fine young man." Old Madam Martha replied while smiling.
"Is....he...handsome?"
Madam Martha chuckled and said, "Devastatingly handsome."
"Then...that's good."
Relief appeared in her eyes. The old lady patted her a few times before she got up. "I will go make dinner, you rest dear." She left after saying that.
Violet's eyes shone with a mysterious light as she smiled, "So he...has..arrived. The....chapters of...divinity are going to turn again. It will be fun if I can last till the end" her words became clearer and without pauses with time
She closed her eyes after saying that.
***FAR AWAY IN SERENE CITY***

Zane sneezed as he thought, 'which beauty is thinking about me?'
